Best falafel I ever had. No, the ONLY falafel I have ever liked. Falafel is one of those things that sounds like it should be tasty. It looks tasty. But whether it's a famous chain or a highly rated local middle eastern restaurant, every time I got falafel, I have regretted it. It's always been dry and gritty. Not here. The falafel here is tasty, crunchy and not dry (can't say moist because falafel shouldn't be moist). Maybe it's because they make them small here so the center cooks before the outside is overcooked and dried out. Maybe it's because they have an extremely limited menu and they focus only on things they do well. Whatever the reason, this is the only falafel place I will revisit specifically for the purpose of getting falafel. I even thought about buying an extra order of falafel (they sell 6 falafel balls as an "appetizer" for $3). On top of that, it is the most reasonably priced eatery in the waterfront district. $6 for a falafel sandwich that was delicious and a decent portion size. You could order that, falafel appetizer and a soda and it'd cost less then getting a personal pizza or a sandwich or a burger anywhere else in the area. Next time I go, I may eat somewhere else but I'm stopping here to get a falafel sandwich first. The only "complaint" I have is that they are so popular, many of their delicious condiments/sauce bottles were empty. But the staff keeps the line moving so you won't wait long for your food (my travel companion went to the burger place next door same time and he got his burger after I got my falafel and...

We are at The Wharf today in DC. My sister & I went to the Falafel's Inc store today, Monday June 17,2024 and bought drinks. On my way out, I tripped and fell as I exited their store!! You know why, their exit floor by the door is NOT level ! There is a gap from their floor to the main exit floor. They created a hazard to customers. Their door was opened tied to the post outside the door. Being a first time in that store I was not aware of the gap and there is No signs to alert the customers to “watch their steps”. I held on to the door to prevent myself from falling but to no avail… their door handle was not stable, hence I fell on my both knees!!! If only they didn’t leave their door open & allow the customers to open it themselves, maybe I wouldn’t tripped because I would looked down as I opened the door myself… instead I fell & I couldn’t get up! My sister tried to help me and another kind man assisted me as well to get up. I’m in pain and my knees were bruised and scraped!! No one from the Falafel helped me .. I wrote this review to alert customers if so happened that you are in the area, please watch your steps as you exit to the Falafel store. Very dangerous steps …. It’s hazardous and that there should be a warning by the door to prevent customers for an accident/fall. I couldn’t believed that this happened to me… Beware and be very careful going in and out of this Falafel Inc store...

Excited to see a midetterenean food restaurant in the wharf. My husband and I are from AZ and visiting my son and daughter in law to celebrate my birthday. Was a fun afternoon and midetterenean food is one of my favorite. This location doesn't offer dining options, the space is too small but the food was great...though they were out of some of the few items in their menu and it's not even that late in the day. So we opted for what's available. The service doesn't even deserve my 1 star. Looks like the staff are tired or doesn't know about great customer service. My son ( who's holding my 4 yrs old niece asleep in his arms)was in the counter when I got inside ( had to use the restroom somewhere else) and is bagging the food himself. I started helping my son and asked the 2 staff at the counter if they don't bag the food themselves and I got a cold answer NO . I didn't argue but I gave them a dirty look and both stepped away and hid in the kitchen. Mind you there was no other customer than us. They didn't extend any courtesy to help my son, struggling to put our orders in the bag! As if it's a big task for them to do so. Only to find out , they do bag them to other customers. That was infuriating!!!!! What a LOUSY and WORST customer service!!!! I was about to ask for the manager but my son begged me not to. If not for the food, I wouldn't give them any...

When they closed at the beginning of the pandemic I was so afraid they weren't coming back and then they eventually came back and I've loved their falafel salad and their fries and then I came back today and it turns out they have a vegan shawarma. And the thing is amazing. The same $5 as the salad, which is still wonderful, but I was in total foodgasm mode the entire time I was eating it which my companion can attest to. So I absolutely plan to come back and I will have to really think about whether I still want salads or whether I want this. Oh and also! They will now sell you a bag of just falafels for three bucks. Which was perfect, for snacking, and for introducing my companion to falafels being someone different from just chickpeas. He approves us both the falafels and the shawarma ;) (My current problem is that I'm sitting here very very tempted to eat more fries or falafel but I am entirely too full. That's shawarma was really filling!) PS: the photo of the sandwich is about 2/3 through eating it what I was able to focus on something other than eating it and remembered I wanted to take a picture

We are from out of town but frequent Mediterranean places often, so we're familiar with the food. The food hit the spot for the Mediterranean craving. However, the service was not all that great. No one there spoke English, they only spoke Spanish and so when you wanted something altered in your order it was difficult for them to understand you and just when you think they understand you, they don't and they mess up your order. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Fries were average, chicken shawarma wrap was good. The pita was humongous so I ate all the insides with a fork. The house sauce was just hot/spicy for no reason. This is a take out only place. No place to sit, but standing tables outside the place. The parking is terrible! There is no dedicated parking. We parked on the street but left an adult in the car to prevent being ticketed or towed.
