I love Gloria’s. I randomly remembered it tonight and wanted to send a message to the owners:
One night I had woken up at 8pm, after months of depression sleeping through daylight in my room. I was incredibly depressed and in a very low point mentally- so I decided to take a walk in the neighborhood and stumbled across Gloria’s shop just GLOWING in the dark lol
I walk in and I felt like crying. The TV was on in Spanish, a bunch of workers laughing and eating together at a table. Gloria was doing something in the corner at her spot. The inside of the shop is all painted with flowers and colors. No it’s not fancy or “professional interior design” and the tables have red and white checker tablecloths but I would never change it. It just reminded me of my home and family in Albania (europe). The family vibe of it all and THEN I ATE THE PUPUSAS and they’re SO good. It was the only thing that made me feel good that week - and I barely had 20 dollars to my name as a college student so you know you can get an affordable meal here at Gloria’s. I took all my friends here and they all swear by it.
I’m just saying food really heals the soul - and the inside of Gloria’s really does...

She claimed she didn't have control over the volume and the this was the "last song." However, the music kept going and we kept having to yell to speak to each other. Once i threatened to leave, she magically found a remote and lowered the volume. I will...
Read moreWe stopped in on our way back to NY. Based on the reviews I thought this would be a great place to stop and grab some pupusas. The sevice was lacking and very slow. My husband ordered a tamale and she forgot to bring it to him, he had to remind her. We wish she had just forgotten, it was awful, nothing but dry cornmeal and very little meat. The pupusas were lousy and the curtido was nothing but shredded cabbage w tomato sauce on top. And please take a good look at your bill if you still choose to go there. They lack basic...
