I booked a week-long vacation in DC for a Family of 5. I was dropping about $180-$220 per day just dining out for Lunch and Dinner. My wife and daughter found this place on Google, and it was close to our Hotel so we gave it a shot. I was very happy with this Restaurant. My wife and daughter were a bit surprised because they expected something not in a basement. Yes, this restaurant is on a lower level. Just a few steps down and you enter. Let me finish....
The restaurant was very clean. The Restroom was spotless. And I constantly saw orders being picked up to go which is always a good sign. This restaurant is very simple, kind of like eating at my Aunt's house. The prices are good and the food was hot and delicious (and we tried multiple dishes): Salt and Pepper Squid, Egg Foo Young, Sushi Rolls (surprisingly good) and the Shrimp and Chicken Pad Thai. I say "surprisingly good" because I didn't expect a Chinese Take-Out place to make a good roll but they did. My youngest ate all of it. The menu is extensive. The portions were large and we had leftovers to take home. I dropped $76 here for us 5, excluding the tip. This was a nice breather for my pocket. And if my oldest wants to go back the next day, I'd say this place was a winner. She is super picky.
FYI, they serve water in glasses. But they brought over 2 big to-go soup containers of ice water so we can simply fill up our glasses as needed. After walking around DC in the heat, this was a slam dunk. Like i said, this place is simple. I would go back again for sure.

Read moreI like visiting One Fish, Two Fish Asian Restaurant in Washington, DC, and it was a delightful experience. This restaurant is a gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine and and they also have fresh, tasty sushi. The location is convenient, perfect for both dine-in and take-out, and the prices are surprisingly affordable given the quality of the food.
What stands out the most is the variety in their menu. Each dish showcases a unique blend of flavors and is prepared with high-quality fresh ingredients. Their sushi rolls are a must-try; each piece is a work of art, both visually and in taste.
The atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the dining experience. It's welcoming and comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual and special occasions. The staff deserves a special mention for their friendly and efficient service. They made sure our dining experience was pleasant and memorable.

Whether you're a fan of traditional Chinese dishes or sushi or Asians dishes. The restaurant won't disappoint. Highly recommended for its great food, atmosphere,...
Read moreDespite its location in a very unassuming basement, this is a very solid spot for takeout Chinese. You occasionally see people eating inside; however, most people are just waiting to pick up their orders and take home. As long as you are expecting take out Chinese and not fine dining, you won't be disappointed. The employees are all very kind and, if you are looking to veer away from your standard order, open to offering some suggestions. There are reviews saying that their dishes lack spice/flavor. They are more than happy to add on should you request.
I decided tonight was a 1 Fish 2 Fish night. It was miserably rainy and cold so I thought it would be easier to dine in for the first time as opposed to carry out and having my paper bag of food soaked. I also branched out and got their 6 piece sashimi special and MAN did my life change. For $10 you get 6 pieces of very generously thick sashimi. Their default is 2 salmon, 2 tuna, and 2 white tuna that's accompanied by a carrot and cucumber salad as well as a bowl of miso. It was delicious and the staff were all just as kind as they are at take out. I will definitely be returning for more sashimi, dine in, and...
