My 3 year old son and I stopped here after an appointment in the West End. The playground is very cute. I liked the low fence around the perimeter and the benches in the shade. The playground equipment is old but usable, although in full sun in the morning (I think it gets shade in the afternoon). Unfortunately, after about 45 minutes a very shady individual came and started watching us and paced from one side to the other of the playground and just stood there watching us. After about 5 minutes, I got really nervous since there was no one else around, so I plopped my son in the stroller and jogged off. Because of this incident I don’t recommend going here alone with your child even in broad daylight. If you’re in a larger group, it’s probably okay, although really the city should probably install an emergency phone here or think of something else for safety.
