Delightful cafe with the best vibes! Others Coffee is a small, pop-up-like cafe located at the intersection of Florida Ave and U Street. Despite chaos and bustle around that intersection, Others Coffee manages to create a peaceful, relaxing sanctuary to enjoy a great cup of joe with a good book or some crafts. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it's so clear that they love coffee, love their neighborhood, and love their craft. The space is beautifully decorated and covered in artwork -- much of it created by the owners themselves. They also sell their coffee beans and beautiful custom mugs, all of which they created in-house. The drinks themselves are also fantastic; everything is premade and served almost immediately, but it still tastes refreshing and remarkably tasty. I love the kinky chai, which is essentially a dirty chai made with drip coffee instead of espresso; it has a great hit of spice from the chai and, especially with the coffee to balance out the oat milk and chai blend, isn't overly sweet. It is slightly on the sweeter end for my taste, but I'm one of the weirdos who prefers all drinks at...
Read moreI had been looking at local roasters to get beans from for my daily home brew coffee. This place came up in a Google search and I read through their website. It is a couple that started roasting and selling online during COVID and has recently opened this trial storefront. We went in on a Saturday morning and one of the owner's was working. I thought one of their current 3 coffees would be a good fit and the owner was happy to talk to me about the flavor profile of their coffees. I purchased their light roast, which was $17 for a 12oz bag. This is pretty good for a specialty roaster and comparable or even cheaper than getting a bag delivered from a specialty roaster. Also with the bag purchase, he said we got a free drink in the store, so he made us a pour over with the roast we had just bought it. It was delicious. I recommend if you are looking to support a local business and especially if you want to go chat about coffee with someone who is clearly a...
Read moreDay 4 in DC was at @others.coffee ! GO TO OTHERS! 💕💕💕 The owners are such amazing people! Let me just say, they personally reached out to me because I moved my tour date and they were not open on the day that I planned to come, making sure I didn’t make the drive out to DC. When I finally arrived at Others, they welcomed me and my family as if we were theirs. The coffee was amazing! They even made an awesome chocolate kid latte for the Littles! They devoured in 2.5 seconds. Extremely in love with the canned drinks as well! It’s a must for me to have a stash in my house! if you are an addict like me, everything on the menu will hit the spot! The coolest thing about this place, is that it is so inclusive to everyone, and that is not an easy thing to do! The fact that the kids could enjoy their drinks, and I could enjoy mine, with entertainment through art, is a 10 out...
