Thankful for bars like this and wouldn’t necessarily call Blaguard a “dive” either. Oh, there are dives in the area while here is more of a sports bar. Most importantly, the Blaguard has been a mainstay for patrons prior to this past year, DURING ya know and well, now. If you haven’t been, I encourage you to stop by. Spacious yet comfortable, the Blaguard has plenty of stand/stool style tables with perfect views of all their TVs. The main bar is loaded with seating and dare you to counter the Cheers’ like vibe provided courtesy of their bartenders/staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and have a solid variety to choose from. I didn’t capture a menu pic nor did I of the reuben I smashed on a recent bar crawl. Make sure to order the Totchos (IYKYK) and a side of wings (Memphis rub) if you’re stopping in for the first time. Oh, and there’s streetery seating as well. Oh, oh they tend to have specials frequently so don’t sleep on their Twitter...

We decided on a beer and looked around for wait staff. No one came to take orders or anything, so I waited for the attention of the bartender. No one was at the bar, but not wanting to be rude I just waited. Finally, after waiting for his attention, I gave him a drink order. Food orders once we got our beer. He got our food order wrong and had to wait longer for the right food to arrive. I thought maybe this was just sort of a busy night dive and food would be as bad as the service. Food actually was pretty darn good...Which is confusing as to why the service was virtually...
Read moreStopped in for St. Patrick's Day, early afternoon. The place was packed. A great spirited crowd served by two bartenders that were on their game. I didn't wait long, two rows back from the bar, and ordered a Guinness with fish and chips. It's awesome to try some place new on their busiest day of the year and get prompt service. A cold beer and soon after the hot meal- big chunk of battered cod and fries. It's a well worn place inside, warm and inviting like an Irish...
