Pizza D'Oro — Restaurant in Washington

I ordered from this place last night an order of wings with a side of blue cheese. Whoever it is that takes the orders has very little social skills and hung up on me abruptly after finishing the ordering. The food took almost 2 hours to arrive and it was disgusting. The blue cheese was given in pre-bought watery blue cheese packets. Disgusting. The chicken was undercooked....it was pink. I was not able to finish the meal because of how gross it was and shortly after I became violently ill. I called the restaurant to let them know what happened and I was dismissed and told to call back in the morning when the manager is in. When I called back the following day, I was told to call back at 5 PM when the manager arrives. When I called back at 5, I was told the manager would call me and he did not. I called back at 8 PM and was told the manager was too busy to speak with me. I told the restaurant that if they don't call me back that I would have to file a report with the department of agriculture food safety and inspection service and the man on the phone said GO AHEAD and hung up on me. I will be filling a report shortly because not only because the restaurant is a health hazard, but the people who run it have no intention of making the food safe when a concern is brought to...

Good Pizza. Inconsistent Quality. I go to D'Oro because although Manny & Olga's is closer, it's too expensive. I buy the carryout because I want to save money. Sometimes it's worth traveling for. But sometimes I think, "I should have just gone to Manny & Olga's."

Today's pizza was a 5 star pizza, no skimping on the materials. I hope to update this review regularly to reflect the progression of my experiences with them.

(UPDATE - 1 month later) Had their XL cheese pizza carryout special again today. Unfortunately their pizza was a little less than 4 stars today, not enough to push up my overall 3 star evaluation. I deducted 5/10s of a star for skimping on the weight (pizza felt like it weighed as much as the box, for a total weight of twice the box). Another 6/10s of a star for the sauce actually having a cilantro or other Mexican or East Indian flavor to it. That was a first for me. I've tasted pizza where East Indians added spice on top after the fact, but not built "into" the pizza. I am all about Mexican food, or East Indian food. But I draw the line when I feel like one kind of food (Italian) and am given a competing flavor. The flavor was only slightly annoying. Therefore the deduction was...

This place has the WORST customer service. We ordered two pizzas on Saturday evening and were told they would be to us in 30 minutes. After still not receiving our order an hour and a half later, I called to inquire about where it was. They said it was on the way and would be to us in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, still not delivered so I called again and asked for our money back. The manager "alex?" said he could not give us any discounts because he was losing money on our delivery. He also stated that their delivery driver got in a car accident, so it wasn't their fault that he was late. SO unprofessional - I couldn't believe that they were not willing to comp this pizza. The only thing he said he could do for me was provide a full return, but that we wouldn't receive our pizza even through they were in the parking lot. I couldn't believe the terrible customer service and accepted the full refund, no pizza. Would never recommend this place - save yourself and go to Pizza Hut where they at least guarantee a delivery time and care about their customers....
