H St. Location
Tldr: Decent but unimpressive place for a quick & affordable lunch in the area. Skip the raw sushi options. But everything else is fine

Hibachi: (3.5 / 5)
Large portions, mostly rice. Even when you ask for half veg. Skip the salmon, meat portion's even smaller and they don't cook it well. The rest are fine.
Sushi: (2 / 5) Raw (1) Cooked (3)
Everytime (3x now) I've tried a raw roll, the taste, texture, and color all just seem off. It's always lacking firmness. They use lots of sauce on it too. Which makes me think they're just covering for subpar fish. I end up eating some of it, tossing the rest, and going through the afternoon with an upset stomach
The cooked rolls are fine. The Hibachi Chicken roll is surprisingly tasty. I'd give it a 4 on it's own.

Read moreI am a General Manager for a restaurant and understand many practices for conserving items to save on food cost or order costs for items given away to customers but this place floored me. They offered me a sauce for my bento box and when I asked for it in the side he said that it was free on my place but .50 to have it on the side. That to me seems like a punishing tactic for customers. If they want to pie the sauce on themselves to their liking that experience is ruined due to the poor customer service offered. You charging them looks like your business is failing or scrambling for change. It costs about .03-.05 cents for those little plastic containers, I know because I make the same purchases at my reataurant. It’s sad because the food is great but their customer service and business practices as insane. You should really rethink your approach to how you treat...
Read moreI recently visited Quickway Japanese Hibachi in Washington, D.C., and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent—very quick and efficient, which made the visit convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was handled smoothly. Unfortunately, the food quality left much to be desired. The flavors were lacking, and the ingredients didn’t seem as fresh as I had hoped. It didn’t quite live up to my expectations for a hibachi-style meal. As for the atmosphere, it was quite bland and unremarkable. It felt more like a fast-food setup. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re in a hurry and prioritize speedy service, but the food and ambiance may not appeal...
