I was craving Quickway… i kno crazy. I ordered a double chicken bowl and a shrimp and salmon bowl, the rice was off it felt like regular long grain rice. I wanted something sticky that I could eat with chopsticks. Noodles were thin like it just felt off brand like I tried to make it myself but worse. I love keeping their Yum sauce and using extra spicy sauce for my sushi. This time I tried a different location and all the sauces were soo watery and just not what I’ve often before. I didn’t like the skimp portions of salmon. I should have gone to the Eastover Location. Disappointed.

Would not recommend. Small meat portion and plain rice. Placed an order via Doordash pickup for beef hibachi with fried rice. The order only included 5 cuts of beef and a generous serving of rice. The rice was well flavored but it does not meet the standards of "fried rice". It only had 1 pea and 2 small slivers of carrot. So the meal, while flavorful, was only 5 pieces of beef, a large serving of rice, 1 pea and two cuts of carrot. I had hoped for better

The food quality was not up to the standards to the quick ways I've been too in the past. The portions were little. I didn't realize I had shrimp until it was pointed out to me. If I'm paying almost 20 bucks for a plate of food and soda I expected more taste. The yum sauce watery as hell. I'll travel back out VA or MD to get a better experience than this quickway

H St. Location

Tldr: Decent but unimpressive place for a quick & affordable lunch in the area. Skip the raw sushi options. But everything else is fine

Full review:

Hibachi: (3.5 / 5)

Large portions, mostly rice. Even when you ask for half veg. Skip the salmon, meat portion's even smaller and they don't cook it well. The rest are fine.

Sushi: (2 / 5) Raw (1) Cooked (3)

Everytime (3x now) I've tried a raw roll, the taste, texture, and color all just seem off. It's always lacking firmness. They use lots of sauce on it too. Which makes me think they're just covering for subpar fish. I end up eating some of it, tossing the rest, and going through the afternoon with an upset stomach

The cooked rolls are fine. The Hibachi Chicken roll is surprisingly tasty. I'd give it a 4 on it's own.

Space, Service,etc: (4)

Space is open, well lit, and has always been clean so far. Staff has always been...

I am a General Manager for a restaurant and understand many practices for conserving items to save on food cost or order costs for items given away to customers but this place floored me. They offered me a sauce for my bento box and when I asked for it in the side he said that it was free on my place but .50 to have it on the side. That to me seems like a punishing tactic for customers. If they want to pie the sauce on themselves to their liking that experience is ruined due to the poor customer service offered. You charging them looks like your business is failing or scrambling for change. It costs about .03-.05 cents for those little plastic containers, I know because I make the same purchases at my reataurant. It’s sad because the food is great but their customer service and business practices as insane. You should really rethink your approach to how you treat...

I recently visited Quickway Japanese Hibachi in Washington, D.C., and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent—very quick and efficient, which made the visit convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was handled smoothly. Unfortunately, the food quality left much to be desired. The flavors were lacking, and the ingredients didn’t seem as fresh as I had hoped. It didn’t quite live up to my expectations for a hibachi-style meal. As for the atmosphere, it was quite bland and unremarkable. It felt more like a fast-food setup. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re in a hurry and prioritize speedy service, but the food and ambiance may not appeal...
