Plastic in smoothie. I come here pretty often. This was 3rd time this week. I wasn’t even upset about the plastic. I filled out a request to be contacted online and then picked up the phone to inform them. The response was “they don’t use plastic with any ingredients in the smoothie.” To me that part seemed like common sense but I just informed them I found 3-4 very small pieces of what felt like plastic when I touched them. I felt maybe it could be something else but the hardness and square sharp consistency made me think plastic. So I just let them know I come in often it wasn’t something I thought was usual but that I would like a refund or a replacement for next time. At this point they challenge me on the idea of a refund saying anyone could just call in and ask for a refund and would I be able to bring in these pieces of plastic. I couldn’t help but let it slip that I thought the request was stupid and ridiculous. I didn’t think to hold on to these tiny pieces and after the first 2 I just tossed them thinking no big deal. Wasn’t till the 4th I finally had enough and tossed half the smoothie. At this point I asked if they could just have the owner or manger call me because asking me to provide evidence when you can see by my order history through the app I am there often and never once had a issue. At this point they said “I would have to call back when a manager was there” I asked when is a manger coming in and I was mid sentence asking if I could have them take my number so he/she could call me when I was hung up on. Smoothies are usually fine and i think this was probably a one off but if it’s my 1st or 100th time here staff shouldn’t feel empowered to act so aggressive toward customers. I won’t be back and I’ll just dispute the charge...
Read moreAs I walked to the door a woman walked out empty handed. Then I walked inside and understood why. There were 3 young ladies surrounding the front of the line. One was sitting on the counter where the card reader is, another was sitting on a table in front of the reader and the last was standing.
My fiance and I stood behind them and the only worker inside waiting for them to complete their conversation. I assume their orders had already been taken because after 3 minutes of them standing and sitting around he began to make their drinks and they moved away to the lounge area of the store.
After another 4 minutes he came to the front to take our orders. He was extremely impatient with us as if we hadn't waited for him to finish fraternizing with "customers". While we ordered one of the girls that had previously been lounging at the front of the store kept calling to him and he responded every time. Eventually he explained to her that he needed to take our orders, this was the only pleasant part of this experience. We paid, received our order and left. Unfortunately I didn't feel comfortable conversing with him about making a larger order so I went with my go to and left it at that.
He didn't offer a receipt and I don't have the gall to reach across a barrier to retrieve what would be considered mine so I left it but we were there today from about 11:45 to 12:05.
I think better supervision and customer interaction training would be adequate. Underwhelming and I'll-mannered employees make for failed businesses, or in this...
Read morePoor experience today. The employee with the dreads should call out an order by either the name of the drink or customer’s name, and not be so adamant about guessing who he thought ordered what and gesturing them to the counter, when a drink is ready and it turned out to be wrong!
I visited Smoothie King today and after the employee finished making the drink he pointed at a lady for her to come up to the counter saying it was her drink that was ready. Knowing he was incorrect as she ordered the strawberry pineapple drink and I ordered blueberry strawberry , my drink would be a darker and hers should have been more pink in color, I questioned if that was my drink and he kept pointing to her so she picked up my drink and had her hands all over it. When we finally sorted out the confusion among ourselves he admitted across the counter that it was my drink and she just handed me the drink and he didn’t offer to remake it or anything since she had her hands all over it and everything and it was his fault for deliberately causing the confusion.
When she left he apologized to her for giving her my drink which he should have actually apologized to me because I had to drink a drink that some random person had put her hand all over the top, not knowing where her hands had been, if she had germs as employees are required to was their hands but she did not, and I was...
