I've arrived and departed this station when using FlixBus to travel to/from DC. The station itself is nice. There're a lot of places to eat and some shops as well. The architecture is also very beautiful. However, there're absolutely no places to sit inside if you have to wait for the bus for a long time. There're some benches outside near the buses themselves, but most of these benches are occupied by sleeping homeless people. Inside the station, you can only sit in a cafe, as all of the seating inside is only for Amtrak passengers, and they check tickets to let you in. Not having any seats inside the station is kind of ridiculous. I think they removed all of the seats to not have any homeless people inside, but they still sleep on the floor and bus passengers suffer.

The place is relatively clean, but it's not pleasant to walk in some of the dining areas because there are strange people, so you just have to get used to ignoring the phenomenon. You can easily find the counters for the train or for the departure for buses and taxis towards the city. If you are already leaving the station, I highly recommend taking a walk in the city or taking the subway (where making a ticket to load money is very frugal)

Union Station's bus terminal interfaces long distance and local services to Union Station's main rail and metro transit links.in addition to local services which include Gaulladet University, the station handles services for Greyhound, Peter Pan, Megabus, and other lines. Union plays a pivotal role in Washington DC's public transit system.

Getting picked up and dropped off from the flix and greyhound bus area was a nightmare. The signs say kiss and ride, but everything was blocked off for no discernible reason, with no explanation on where to go instead. Everyone in the garage was unhelpful and rude, yelling at us that we were in the wrong spot without explaining what to do instead. My husband drove toward me to pick me up after I had been waiting for 20 minutes in the cold cuz he couldn’t figure out how to get in, and a group of workers followed me and yelled at us while I was trying to go toward him, some of them trying to block the car with their body, just saying ā€œno you can’tā€ very angrily but not offering help. I ended up just trying to get around them and putting my things in the car quickly while they continued to yell at me. There were no other cars, busses, or construction in the vicinity, we were not blocking anything, there was no reason to treat me this way. They clearly wanted my husband to drive away from me, but to where I don’t know. While I had been waiting even, just standing there, workers questioned and reprimanded me without offering help, which was confusing and upsetting. This was truly one of the worst and most confusing experiences I have ever had and I hope they fix something and make it more clear and that the workers start understanding how confusing it is and treat people more kindly, it makes me scared to go back...

Though Me And My Cousin Had To Stay Here 5 Hours For Getting Kicked Off The Bus, We Had A Memorable Night At This Station. Toting Carry On And Under Carriage Bags We Experienced The Surrounding Area Of The Stations Night Life, It's Literally One To Remember.
