South Block — Restaurant in Washington

South Block as a company has amazing menu offerings. Whether you are looking for a great tasting Açaí Bowll or a smoothie they have you covered. The variable is the staff at the location you visit. Unfortunately I have never had a great experience with the staff at the Union Market location. My order is always delayed, and sometimes less than accurate, and the staff stands around talking about personal matters instead of focusing on the customers in front of them. I am not saying the workplace shouldn’t be fun and you shouldn’t have an opportunity to chat with your coworkers, maybe just do it after you serve the customer. The hours of operation are good and the prices are normal. Seating can be challenging since all seats are shared by all vendors at Union Market. Otherwise it’s a good location for South...

Located inside of Union Market, you can find this stand with its green signage. They have a small menu that is very straightforward and all of the options sounds delicious.

The Food: I opted for a Smoothie and my choice was the "Super Green". Which had pineapple juice, spinach, kale, banana and mangos. You also have the option of adding ginger in there as well. I did and it tasted great! The smoothie was delicious and blended nicely. I saw a lot of people get the Açaí bowl, so this review may need to be updated soon!

The Service: Staff was friendly. Orders were out in no time, even with a rush. Prices are a little high in my opinion though. But the drinks were great nonetheless.

I’m in aweeee!! This is my favorite place ever!!!!!! ❤️🥰 Beautiful pieces of art in every store. I have literally been going twice a week since I found out about it 6 months ago. I have been to 5 different locations in DC as well as VA - numerous of times. So much to try on their menu - Warrior Bowl with extra Nutella is my favorite as well as the Almond Monkey Protein Smoothie! And I always go for the large. I no longer care or need my usual Chai or White Mocha Latte, unless it’s the holidays of course. South Block is my fav place, my go to AND the best part is it’s all natural! If only they had more locations near Southern Maryland. 😜
