Sometimes it seems to me that every Starbucks has its idiosyncrasies. It might take multiple visits, but, it will be made known to even the least observant of us in time. This one, suffers from the tedium of waiting. During its non rush hour periods it takes forever to just place a simple order. After that mission is done, you just might want to sit down and use the wait time...."constructively." If you have ambitions of reading a book, now, might be a good time to do so. If you have ambitions of writing a book....well...there's going to be more than enough time to embark on what just might be a life changing voyage into the wonderful world of literature. One never knows actually. But what is known is that your order will be on your table sometime before you've accomplished either. It's just a matter of time.

Such a beautiful place. I’ve never seen a store like this - inclusive of the deaf community and still easy to order and do your typical Starbucks run. It’s the signing store, so it’s super quiet and if you don’t sign, you can write your order or order ahead. There’s no music and folks are typically respectful about keeping it a nice and quiet place. I’ve loved spending time here with my newborn. I’ve also learned quite a bit of sign language from my visits! The staff is also so friendly. And of course, the Starbucks treats are always delicious. This is my go-to place!

This is a wonderful experience of community inclusion! Thank you Starbucks for providing this opportunity. I heard about this location the last time I was in the area and made sure to put in the time to come this time. I am glad I did. Friendly staff that were fun! Yes, there may be some communication barriers for those who are not familiar with ASL, but there’s ways around that and it’s an uplifting and beautiful place. To those who have a 1 star due to not getting your complicated order 100% correct- do us all a favor and go to a different location!

I thought I'd give this place a try since it's near my work and I have a gift card. Right away it was the least cozy Starbucks I have ever entered, but I was just planning to carry out so that didn't matter. What did annoy me was the service. The guy who took my order obviously didn't understand what pastry I wanted and he didn't try to clarify either. I would have happily clarified if he had tried repeating my order or pointing to what he thought I wanted, but instead he just nodded in a bored way so I thought he got it. Unfortunately they brought me the wrong thing. I said, "Hmm, this isn't mine, I don't know who ordered this," but they ignored me. After my drink came out I asked if I could get my pastry. The one lady talked to the guy who rang me out and came back to tell me that that wasn't what I was rung out with. I asked which one cost more, willing to pay the difference if mine was more but suspecting based on the items that it wasn't. She told me, "Don't worry, I'm just going to get you one." As if she was doing me a big favor. I checked the prices on the way out and the item I received was less expensive than the one I was charged for. The difference wasn't huge and I just left at that point, but I was annoyed at the implication that they had done me a big favor.

1.) Please listen to your customers and clarify if you are not sure what they want.

2.) Please do not act like you are doing a customer a big favor by giving them a cheaper item for the same price.

I also want to mention that the Starbucks was not busy AT ALL when I was there, there were three customers total in the location. All of this would have been more understandable in a rush.

This is also the least cozy looking Starbucks I have ever entered.

But the drink and the...

This was one of the most pleasant Starbucks locations I've been to in a while. I was expecting the store to be overcrowded given the "novelty" of the location, but I was able to find a seat without any problem. The line did get long at times, but it moved quickly. It was also incredibly clean (though, I didn't use the restrooms).

The baristas were all incredibly friendly. There was a bit of a communication barrier as I don't speak ASL fluently, but I knew enough to get by without using the writing tablets. Despite fumbling over my fingerspelling, things worked out.

My favorite thing about the store was that it was quiet. There was the hum of people talking amongst their tablemates and the sound of blenders and milk steamers, of course, but there was NO background music. So many Starbucks stores play their music so loudly that I can't hear my own show/music through my headphones unless I turn the volume up full blast. So, going to a Starbucks without music blasting at 80+dB (I have measured it) was refreshing.

The only downside to the visit (other than the fact that it's too far to visit regularly- I was stopping in on my back up to NJ after a trip to visit VA) was that there were no Signing Store...

I’m a loyal customer that always comes to this Starbucks and today I had the worst experience! Sign language baristas are usually just the only ones there and there supper nice but today was different there was a person that can speak but she was just rude! Sense the moment I step inside the store she said huh I can’t hear you so I spoke louder so she can hear me but her attitude was not it then I proceeded to paying and went to the other side to wait for my order and everyone was getting there order. You know I get it there busy so I waited but it was taking long and I thought to my self maybe you never know they forgot let me ask so I asked the young lady excuse me I haven’t gotten my breakfast burrito she said again huh I can’t hear you really rudely and I spoke up and I said it again she said well it’s not done yet ! And she rolled her eyes so I didn’t say anything anymore and 3 min later I get my breakfast burrito she didn’t apologize for the delay nothing I’m so disappointed I love going there because there always so nice but this young lady is not good for...
