CAVA — Restaurant in Washington

This was my third time coming here. The first 2x were great and smooth. Frifay night 6/1/18 however I was not so pleased -- a little annoyed actually. I came in at 9:38pm. I know Cava closes at 10 so I wasn't expecting everything to be fresh and plentiful. At the time, there was only one black woman ahead of me being assisted by a very nice black young lady. There were 2 male hispanic employees cleaning. The one closest to the start of the line looked at me like "Tuh I'm not helping you"... How disgusting and unprofessional. I waited 10min for a very proactive and kind hispanic young lady to come from the back. Although she was unprompted by her incompetent coworker who saw me come in and WAIT, she still made it her duty to deliver stellar customer service knowing it was close to closing time. I was so impressed by her! Although they were short on some ingredients she prepared me and my husbands bowls with respect and initiative. I asked if there were any more pita chips and she said they're not ready but I can have some put on... Surprise! She asked Mr. Incompetent Nasty Attitude and of course he told her no. It's probably unlikely I'll come back to this Cava. The Cava's in Chinatown and on Florida Ave have better service/are closer...

This is by far the WORST Cava location known to man. Portion sizes here are extremely small considering a bowl is about $14. I could for sure count the pieces of chicken I receive. And don't even think about griping to them about the portion sizes because they will play "woe is me" and pretend as if their portion sizes are normal. I can assure you they are not as I have never complained about portion sizes at any other Cava. This is utterly ridiculous and completely unacceptable. Might I add the employees barely speak English which as someone who speaks Spanish I don't have an issue with but I feel for other paying customers who have to encouter this. Their food is always cold. I actually don't think I've ever had a warm bowl from them. While some of their employees are nice, others are rude or simply have an attitude. If a manager sees this, please take these issues up with your team so this can STOP happening. This will be my last time visiting this location. Something...

I want to rate this place 5 stars so bad but I have to remove two stars because of the experience i recently had with a new Hispanic guy yesterday, He wasn’t welcoming like everybody else normally is i go here 3x-4x every two weeks and always have had amazing service with great employees but this guy wasn’t a good addition to the team, He was rushing me and didn’t hear me correctly he was mix and making the wrong salad and then got like a attitude because i corrected him he slammed my bowl on the counter and was rushing me and still not fully listening to my toppings ! Customers should be appreciated! I am thankful for all the other great employees this cava have :) this guy PLEASE GET RID OF HIS...
