If you go to this Starbucks on Silverdale Way, I hope you don’t have the misfortune to experience Ethan’s very poor customer service. Upon entering he says “I’ll be right with you” then continues to speak to a trainee. Ok, fine, I can wait a moment while we make our selections. Several more moments pass and Ethan is still talking to a trainee. I continue to wait…few more moments pass. I let Ethan know that we are ready. Ethan holds up one finger and says again “just a moment”. By now, I know Ethan doesn’t really care if I get helped because he left the front with the trainee. The older gentleman in the drive thru came over to me and asked, “What can I start for you, mam”. I gave him my order and he started it….and finished it, except for taking payment, and tells me, “Ethan will ring up this order, mam, I don’t have a register here at the counter”. I told him, “Ethan told me he would help in ‘just-a-moment’ twice, but, then he left and went in the back with the trainee”. The drive thru gentleman then opened the swinging door to the back and said, ”Ethan! This order is ready to be rung up!” I could tell he was feeling our frustration and I think he was kind of embarrassed by his co-workers lack of priorities. Then Ethen comes out, puts up one finger and says, “just a moment”. I then tell Ethan, “you’ve said that to us 3 times, but we’re ready for you to help NOW” He walks over to the register with an unhappy face and as he scans our items I tell him, “you are training that girl to fail at customer service when you continue to make the customer (me) wait like you did. Instead, you should show her that you pause the non-customer work your doing, help the customer, and then go back to your work tasks.” Ethan’s response contained no apology for the wait and a disingenuous “have-a-nice-day”. Now I have been in the customer service industry all my life. I am 59 years old and I have run staff of thousands and have owned a business and have fired people with the same kind of attitude as Ethan’s. Employees like him just don’t get, or care, that customers drive your business and when they stop coming in you have no business and then you close down and people lose their jobs. All because of one employees attitude.
Update 5/23/24: The owner responded to my google review about Ethan without an apology as to my negative experience at the Silverdale WA location on Silverdale Way. The copy-and-paste response merely said “thank you for sharing your experience let us know how we can improve by contacting us at this link”. As you can see, my review contained, in detail, the nature of the problem (poor customer service), the offender (Ethan), and an explanation of how to prevent/ improve it (retraining & demoting, or termination). So, the cut-&-paste response from the owner stating “thanks for your review let us know how to improve”, with the absence of an apology, shows that the customer service problem at this location is...
Read moreThis is the best Starbucks location so far in all of Kitsap County (Bremerton, Silverdale, Kingston, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island Pirt Orchard). There is a lot of parking and convenient. Drive thru keeps you shaded most of the visit and drive-in window means no wet experience cashing out and receiving purchases. It is totally separate from parking for inside dining...a nightmare at the other Starbucks dine-in locations. This new Silverdale Way at Myhre Rd location has normal height ceilings which cuts down considerably on the noise level throughout the interior dining area. Food and snack offerings are comparable to other Starbucks. If a dinner needs a suggestion....I ordered the Egg White Bites as a 3rd choice one midday. They were as opposite of what I expected and are now my go to. Egg whites that are prepared in the French sous vide technique (vacuum bagged and submersed in precise temp water. Maintaining water temp and a precise submersion time creates a soft, non-rubbery egg. The interior is almost like eating a warmed soft cheese, but it is just eggs...all protein. Service here is fast, plenty of staff, and great care in making your drink just right for you. Manager/franchise owner (?) most often on site. Give...
Read moreI’m updating my review from 2 to 4 stars as last Thursday I came into Starbucks happy hour trying to get a drink I was treated very rudely by an employee in the drive thru. I was over charged and asked for a refund, when she agreed to do my refund the money was never put back onto my account not only did i pay for 2 drinks not to mention both of my drinks were made wrong. This was probably one of the worst Starbucks employees I have ever encountered. So I called and spoke to a manager and she made things right I came in the next day she was very apologetic offered me a full refund, and a complementary coffee so I want to say thank you to the manager of this location for making things right As this is my go to Starbucks and they will be getting my business again. As for the Employee who I never caught her name i hope she changes her attitude or job choice. Otherwise i love this location is it very...
