I'm circling back because I stopped going there awhile back because the professionalism of one of the men on duty was horrible. The man that rang up the order was great (I hate that I can't remember their names), anyway. The price that was on the board did not align with the price in the system so when I said to the cashier that's not the price on the board he said, "you're right and ask, I assume the manager from the back to fix it and he came out with a nasty attitude and said well whatever is in the system is what it is, totally unprofessional because the prices should match and if for whatever reason they did not, which was the case then the price that was stated on the board should have been what I paid. As the "angry" man went back in the kitchen the cashier said let me see if I can fix it, because I understand." He did so, it was just for the side item because everything else rang up correctly and I left but I told my coworker, well I won't becoming back. Fast forward to today, another coworker said she was in the mood for wings. I said well Angry Jerk has good wings but I won't go back there because I had an unpleasant experience, but I said hands down the wings are good. She said okay I'll try them. She came back and she said I think I ran into that nasty guy you told me about because had serious attitude and he even went outside from the back kitchen while there was a guy waiting in line. She said the mexican guy was nice but the black guys with the braids had attitude. I said well hopefully your wings are good. She said I hope so. Once she told me that I thought about the fact that I never did a review, at least I don't remember doing one but this person will probably turn off a lot of customers. The few times I have walked by since then on my way to Chipotle the place was not bustling with...
Read moreI was excited to try this place because the food looked great. However, my experience was significantly impacted by the lack of communication regarding dairy-free options. Typically, if a menu doesn’t specify dietary details like gluten-free, vegan, or dairy-free, the staff behind the counter can offer guidance. Unfortunately, the young lady assisting me didn’t seem interested in helping. When I asked about what was in the dishes, she gave off the impression that I was bothering her, and she didn’t seem happy or engaged. She appeared uninterested in answering my questions, which made me feel like I was irritating her. This eventually led me to stop asking questions altogether.
When I mentioned my dairy allergy, her response was unhelpful, suggesting I "should still try it" despite not knowing whether it was safe for me. This felt both unprofessional and unsafe. Clear communication about ingredients is crucial, especially for customers with food allergies, and the lack of support here made me uncomfortable.
In the end, I settled for a bowl with rice and veggies because I couldn’t get confirmation on whether the fish dishes contained butter. It was disappointing because I was really looking forward to the full experience, but the uncertainty about what I could safely eat ruined it for me.
Customer service and staff training are essential, especially in a food establishment where allergies are a concern. If I decide to return, I would need to feel confident that I can get clear and helpful information about what I'm eating. I hope the team here improves their customer service and product knowledge to ensure a better experience for...
Read moreThe hype on tiktok was truly overexagerated. They claim to be authentic, and by no means is this any real Jamaican jerk chicken, driest chicken I've ever had, they have 2 sauces for jerk, neither are actual jerk sauces. It tastes like something a Gordon Ramsey wannabe would mix up random sauces they found at Walmart and called it jerk sauce. if you noticed, 3 plantains was all I was given for a $20 bowl of one pathetic scoop of rice and peas, they give you some random toppings to makeup for the fact that they don't even give you a child's portion of rice and chicken. Spent $40 for 2 bowls, one Jamaican soda (which was not free like they lied on tiktok when they advertised that if you come in saying you heard about them on tiktok that you would get a free drink!) When I said mentioned that ad on tiktok, the cashier sucked her teeth and proceeded to charge me for a Jamaican soda. Then they claim to give 2 free sauces yet that same rude cashier charged me for 6 half filled containers of sauce that they charge $0.75 for each. Photo below showing how they fill these containers halfway. 🤦♀️ this restaurant is not Jamaican and should be called "wannabe Jamaican, we tried...
