Diplomatic Duty-Free Shop — Local services in Washington

I was so excited to visit this place & to my dismay, I told my colleagues of my experience-- unwelcoming, condescending & overall unfriendly vibe. That's only when I found out of their experiences as well -- my workmate told me that one time they visited this place, the staff were talking about them in Chinese. Unfortunately one of our attachés speak the language & understood them. I was reading through the reviews & found a comment about how they treat Asians. I mean, her experience plus mine and that of my colleagues-- I do not think it is an "isolated" incident. I expected more from a "diplomatic" shopping center. Look for building #1818 then walk about 70 feet forward, to the metal door. There will be a guard at the entrance to the building to point you to the duty free shop if you do not see the metal door, but it is in plain sight.

I arrived about 10 minutes before closing and the sales person was putting items away, but helped me when I asked to see 2 watches. No issues. I knew exactly what I wanted to see and had 2 questions, which were answered.
