Toastique — Restaurant in Washington

I ordered takeout today and the pickup was for 3:21 pm. I received my food with a side of poor attitude around 3:35. I always order online to avoid long waits here because i know the food takes a while. Once I arrived and realized that the food was taking longer than expected, I was very patient and sat down as I really wasn’t in a rush. The “manager” Aries (not sure if that’s her real name, young short AA woman) claimed that although i paid extra for avocado on my toast, I would only be able to get in on the side because its a to go order. First she claimed that she needed to see my receipt because “it wasn’t on there” and refused to even give it to me. When she realized her mistake she brushed me off and said the only way she could do it was on the side and because she’s a manager there, she makes the rules. I’ve always ordered my toast this way and have had no problem until today. (I have many photos to prove so.) eventually, after going back-and-forth, I asked if she could please make it a “dine in” order since that’s the “only way” she could add the avocado onto the toast and then I would just pack it up myself since customer service apparently did not exist today for her.

I have been a long time customer of toastique for 3 years now and have never received this hostile service. Especially from a manager! I’m afraid I will no longer be returning to this location until it’s under new management – and by the looks of her terrible temperament, she won’t last long.

I would’ve left only one star, but I added an extra one because my past experiences have been so amazing! Unfortunately today made me never want...

I love the concept and the variety of healthy food and juice options. However the level of customer service that I have experienced from the Union Market location is less than to be desired via Uber Eats.

The first order several months ago I placed with them was perfect with attention given to detail when packing my order. Unfortunately as of late from Sept to November 4th, 2023 I am extremely disappointed. I typically order 6-7 juices to have everyday as part of my meal prep plan. During the order in Sept one of the bottles wasn't sealed properly so it was a complete waste. This Sat, Nov 4th I ordered seven juices and only received six. On Uber Eats that is $95.51 for juice plus delivery fees, service charges, tax and gratutity for Toastique to offer no quality control. It doesn't take much to check the order against the receipt. However it does take quality, consistency, and a genuine regard for patrons to maintain a viable business and retain customers.

At this point this business is inadvertantly stealing from me as a customer through carelessness if they are charging me for a product that I don't have in my bag but is still available on their store shelves for double the profit on the same one unit inventory item.

Update: WhileTostique and Uber Eats point the finger at each other for the missing item in my order neither offered a workable solution to fairly address the...

Their Avocado Smash (with avocado, marinated tomatoes, watermelon radish, micro greens, toasty seasoning, & chili oil on multigrain toast $14).

Their Defender Juice (orange, carrot, apple, turmeric, & lemon $7).

Their Gingerberry (Pitaya, mango, strawberry, Lime juice, ginger, agave, & coconut water $9).

Their Blue Mystique (Blue Majik, banana, pineapple, Mango, & almond milk $9). .

Customer Service: On Point . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: Decent/3 hours free underground parking . Recommendations: Everything, The 3 cheese Italian was my favorite!
