Tony's Place — Restaurant in Washington

My first time eating at Tony's Place was a good experience. The Order I placed was two dark piece dinners in which I received three pieces of Chicken, greens, rice and gravy. However, two sides of macaroni was ordered with my two meals and the total came to $22. And some change! Well today of May 26, 2017 I had a bad experience. Well I first waited about 15 minutes before ordering in which I felt the wait would be worth my time. After ordering and receiving my food of two dinners, one being a Fish Whiting meal with Macaroni & Cheese with Greens the other a Dark piece meal with Greens with rice and gravy a Doctor Pepper soda and a Cranberry juice my total came to $22.50. While my food was being prepared I noticed that the male personnel had only given me two pieces of Chicken in which the first time I went I received three pieces. When I questioned the male personnel about two pieces of Chicken instead of three he replied that two pieces was the amount that comes with the meal for the same price that I had paid in the past. I dealt with the price and after bragging about the food to a friend of mine I ate my rice and gravy and greens, but when I started to eating my Chicken the drumstick had a weird smell and taste. I went back inside and brought the situation to the male personnel attention and he smelled the Chicken and had the cooks smell the Chicken, but they said they didn't smell any weird smell. Also I was told by the male personnel that he had just eaten some Chicken and didn't taste or smell any funny smell. He then went inside the sliding glass door of the food display and began eating Chicken in front of me emphasizing that nothing was wrong with the Chicken that I had purchased! I was upset and I asked for a partial refund because I did eat the greens and rice and gravy in which I just walked out and considered to take...

Worst customer service experience ever! Do yourself a favor and go to the other Tony’s across the street instead. Cashier tried to overcharge me for wings. To be spiteful about me asking to wait for fresh cooked wings and disagreeing with how I was being overcharged, the cook under cooked my wings and then purposely didn’t season them, not one drop of salt or pepper. She also mixed fresh cooked wings with the old ones sitting in the heater. I ordered 4 wings and potatoes. When I asked for two more wings the cashier quoted me $16 from a $9 for just added two wings when the menu on the wall listed extra wings are $1.25. Then the cashier tells me “No, each wings is $1.75. The menu on the wall is wrong.” Even then it would not have added up to $16. Honestly, I was just giving Tony’s Place a try to see how it compared to Ton’y Breakfast across the street which has way more transparent pricing, better quality food and much friendlier staff. I see why one location always has a line of customers and the other always...

I don't do the whole ratings and review thing online, but today I had to make a review!! I was told that they had really good soul food !! I'm a soul food enthusiast !! I know how to cook soul food!! So, I go to this location to order a fried whitening platter with greens, macaroni and cheese. When I say I was VERY dissapointed ; I was pissed .The food was bland as hell!!!!!! The fried fish didn't have not one hint of salt or pepper and it was over cooked!!!!! The greens taste like they were cooked in hint of vinegar with nothing else; that's including salt and pepper smh!!!! The Mac and cheese was ok but a bit runny!!!!! This shouldn't be in the soul food category!!!! Let's be real they need to stick to breakfast food!!!!! True soul food involves more than salt and pepper and this place didn't even have this!! The only reason I'm giving this a one star is for the customer...
