We got take-out from Haveli shortly after they opened. TLDR, it wasn't a great experience, but we may give it another shot in the future.
My husband went to pick-up and struggled to find parking and then proceeded to wait inside without being acknowledged for about 15 minutes. The food took a while, and they seemed short-staffed up front.
The chicken tikka masala was pretty mid, the sauce was very wet and had a soupy/watery quality to it. They flavor was ok but lacked much depth or spice level, and there were large cardamom pods left behind that I had to fish out. Every now and then I'd miss one and that wasn't super pleasant. My husband ordered the goat curry, which was also disappointing. It brought a lot of heat but also was lacking in flavor. The garlic naan wasn't very warm considering the food was quite delayed, but it was maybe the best thing out of what we got, which isn't saying much.
We'll give it another shot in the future and order some other dishes. Hopefully we can find something that works considering there isn't a lot of diverse food...
Read moreThe food was amazing I got the Afghani Malai tikki kebab, the garlic naan, and the mango lassi, the kebab was delicious served on a sizzling cast iron plate with onions, cabbage I believe, and some other vegetables, the chicken was tender, buttery, and packed with flavor though not as spicy as I had thought it would be, they did say that if you want the dishes to be spicier you can always request that, their green salsa was the star of the show though it was amazing and packed with flavor it definitely complimented the Afghani kebab, the garlic naan wasn't anything special but still delicious and went well with the chicken kebab, and the mango lassi was delicious it's a mango yogurt smoothie, they also have gluten free and vegan version for most of the dishes, the service was great and the music was good, I will definitely...
Read moreStarted with the onion bhaji appetizer. Think deep fried shredded onion “nests.” Just need larger dipping bowls. I had the butter masala and it was very close to the best butter chicken I ever had (cuz it was loaded with butter! 🧈) from Hillsboro restaurant years ago. Husband had the vindaloo which was too spicy for me. We had chicken in our dishes and basmati rice was served with both. We also had an order of garlic naan to share. We sat at one of the booths tucked into a corner by the front door (with other diners) which was a bit noisy and cramped, but they do have a larger room with booths and tables plus back room where the bar is at with more tables. The staff was friendly and checked in on us at the right pace given the to-go orders he was also dealing with. We’ll be back for dine in or take out...
