I want to give up on this place. I can never get a good pizza. I tried it twice when they opened and it tasted bland. I was told last year in the summer by someone who has recently hired that they were “hired to fix that“ and two of those pizzas were good. Ironically those two pizzas were pizzas that I did not order, they were somebody else’s that I got a taste of… So I have never received a good pizza from Champ when I pay for it. I just went back tonight for the same pepperoni and garlic pizza that I enjoyed during the summer and it is garbage again. The garlic is diced, nearly minced and 80% of it is burned/crunchy. Normally that wouldn’t be such a big deal but if it’s one of the two toppings on a pizza, that makes the whole thing taste burnt and crispy. $25 For a large burnt garlic pizza. Thanks for the rip off once again. Y’all should start giving out gift cards for the people who get your bad pizzas because this happens too often. Wasn’t attempted to be fixed over the phone or anything, just a very insincere “sorry we burnt your pizza” I would love to be happy about getting a pizza here and write a 5 star review. Don’t get me wrong, it is GREAT pizza… but only when it’s made right. And no one ever makes it right when I buy it. If you guys would like to fix it and change my opinion then please reach out. I’m not able to bring the pizza back up because I have a four-year-old who needs food and won’t wait, otherwise I’d be back to get it fixed instead of...
Read moreWe won't be back. We've given them 3 tries. Two times we ordered online. Once we ordered the cheese bread and it arrived uncooked. The edges appeared to be cooked, but the dough was completely raw. Called to report, and got a young gal who was not necessarily rude, but not at all friendly or helpful. THEN, we ordered on a busier night. I ordered plenty early in anticipation that they'd be behind. After 70 minutes I called to store to make sure our order had been received. It had, and we were told it was just leaving the store. It arrived about 15 minutes later (we're less than a mile away) and the pizzas were made wrong. We ordered two larges, got a large and a medium. We asked to remove two toppings (allergies) but they showed up WITH the toppings we asked to have removed. Again I called, got the same unfriendly girl, who took absolutely forever to figure out what was wrong and find our order, then she transferred me to a guy who was also not very helpful or friendly. I was offered nothing but excuses. We're busy, etc. I knew they were busy, I had already called to check on the order. But maybe they'd be less busy if they had any kind of quality control and didn't have to answer extra phone calls from disgruntled customers. Extremely disappointed and really missing Little Ceasars who never did us wrong. Stand by your product and take better care of your customers. You've got some major kinks to work out...
Read moreWe read awesome reviews and just got a pizza from Champ. The service was great and fast and I was in and out in 2 mins.
When we got home though, I have to say we were pretty disappointed. When I opened the box the pizza was quite a bit smaller than a RoundTable large, more like a medium RT pizza, with the price of the large. The crust had also developed large air pockets that led to pieces having hardly any toppings on them.
I noticed that when I ate a piece it took only 4 small bites to be done with the part of the pizza with toppings before hitting huge crust. I’m not a large man and I’m not the kind of person who takes huge bites. In my opinion, a large pizza should be bigger than 12” and not leave customers looking in the fridge for dinner after eating.
The pizza was was okay, but my lady didn’t care for the garlic chicken half of the pie. The pieces were so flimsy that they had to be eaten with both hands or the slice would droop straight down.
In all honesty, for flavor, presentation, and value I think we are going to stick with RoundTable down the street. So far it’s the best In town.
I suppose this experience was probably most disappointing because we love to shop local and we were excited to support a small local business. We understand that this could all be new location kinks being worked out, so I may give them another try again sometime down the road. I hope they do well...
