Dairy Queen has always been my go to spot for ice cream. The blizzards are to die for, but the food is far from it. My husband and I went in and ordered 5 meals to go for the family. We knew it would be a wait because they make food to order and it was a large order. We placed our order at 7:17pm sat and waited. After sitting for 20 minutes we started to get antsy. Then the (whom we could only assume to be) manager comes darting in and around tables asking who was waiting on blizzards. We were so I said yes when he asked us he said ok and went and made them. I thought since he was making the blizzards the food was ready. It wasn't! We got the ice cream first. So I asked if they could put it in the freezer while we waited for the food. He did. (I have to mention right here he was a really hard worker, but he is just a kid.) We finally got our food at 8:07 pm I was walking up to the counter to find out the status of our food. When, I saw the cashier (another kid) stick her hand inside the box of chicken strips and french fries right after she touched money and was not wearing gloves. She then handed me the box and said here you go. I asked them to please remake the food because she put her dirty hands in the box. They did and we left with that box and the rest of our food. Once we got home we realized a container of fries were missing, but it was okay we didn't get the food for the fries anyways. However, once we started eating, the food was cold and over cooked. Needless to say we were very unsatisfied especially after waiting for so long. The store was a filthy mess and the kids working have no training what so ever on food handling. I'm disappointed to say that I will not be going back there. Even though the blizzards are amazing, I am just not to keen on getting food poisoning just because someone has not been trained properly...
Read moreWe go to DQ frequently because of their Blizzards (it’s a weakness lol), and if they weren’t so good, I’d never go back. The chick that’s always in the drive through (I’ll get her name next time and update this review) has some of the WORST repeated customer service I’ve ever had. When you order more than one item, ask her a question or pronounce something wrong, every single time she gives a major attitude and a lovely slew of words and noises consisting of “uggg”, “oh my god”, “seriously”, frustrated sighing, and/or (more so “and” over the “or”) grunting — yes, grunting. Every. Single. Time. I’m talking like once a week for over a year...eeek, approx. 50 encounters in over a year (again, blizzards are my weakness...don’t judge. Haha!) Today, I actually ordered food and I’m sad I did. I ordered a three piece chicken strip meal, and the chicken strips were the length of two quarters, and the width of one. It was pretty pathetic considering the last time I ordered them, they were 5-6 inches long - decent sized, and cheaper. But, I was already home, and tired, and not turning around. So, for maybe the second time in my life, I decided to resort to a review because after a year, it was about time. If you’re a blizzard addict like me, they know their stuff. But, don’t expect even moderately acceptable customer service if you run into this chick. And no, it’s not just me, I can hear her talking to the cars in front of me the same way... Also, I’ve had the pleasure of talking with a few of her coworkers when going through the drive thru, and they all agree and say she difficult to work with because she’s like that all...
Read moreMy experience there was terrible!! On 03/24/17, I went in to order dinner for my family. As I was waiting for my order , I noticed the young man working the drive thru window stepping into the kitchen area and stepping back pushing french fries into his mouth with his ungloved hands. I watched curriously as he stepped into the kitchen again. This time I moved to where I could observe as to what I suspected he was doing. Sure enough...taking fries, bare handed, from those they fill your order from. I asked for the "manager on duty", a timid young lady appeared, which was the shift manager. I asked her if this was a normal practice for their employees to be doing while customers waited for their food?? Totally Perplexed, she stood there frozen in time!!! The Assistant Manager confronted me asking what the problem was?? I explained the situation to him. He asked the employee in question if this was true...the kid lied right there in front of me..when asked if he was wearing gloves, again he lied!!! I demanded full refund of my purchase and the phone number of their Corporate Office..the Assistant Manager gave me the phone number of a young lady whom is to be the Store Manager...well, 3 hours later and she is still unreachable and has not..or will not..return my call!! So...if you are planning on dinning out at this branch of Dairy Queen...THINK ABOUT IT FIRST!!!!!! To be able to write my review on this place, I had to rate it first...I would not give this place any star rating if possible...due to the proccess I had to give it at...
