Not sure what has happened... but we have enjoyed their pizza for nearly 20 years via delivery. Now they will no longer deliver and when we called the store to ask why, they simply hung up on me. When we contacted the national customer support, they simply provided a canned message (below). We live 4.8 miles and 8 minutes from the store. Has always been good pizza, but it seems like the only way to continue to enjoy the pizza is to go get it yourself.
Thank you for contacting us regarding our inability to deliver pizza to you from the Pizza Hut location in your area.
Please allow us to take this opportunity to explain that the way our trade area works is that each of our units is given a specific delivery area, which is based primarily on the amount of drive time required to reach the furthest points of the trade area during rush hour traffic. We place this drive time limitation to assure that our delivery customers receive the hottest, freshest pizzas we can provide. Making trips beyond these specific trade areas compromises our ability to do so. Rest assured, we are dedicated to serving as many customers as we possibly can. We would like to remind you that we also offer dine-in and carryout services at various units in your area.
We appreciate your input and we look forward to serving you soon and in many years to come.
Sincerely,
Pizza Hut...
Read moreWhen I was a child, I remember going here with my grandmother and cousins. The pizza was predictably decent, the place was dark and full of wood paneling and the like in that fashion from the time. I remember being in high school and dropping a couple of quarters in a video game machine there in the lobby while waiting for my pizza.
I went here recently, with my granddaughter and my husband. The EXACT SAME VIDEO GAME was still in the lobby. The paneling was still there. The old bench seats from when I was a child? Still there. Everything was a little bit darker because, you know, age and all. Decades of dust, regardless of how well tended, had darkened the upholstery on the top of the seats.
The waiter was surprised that anybody was walking in for food. He nonetheless was very friendly and helped us come up with an affordable order of food. When the pizza came out, it was still predictably decent, a good, standard Pizza Hut pizza.
I guess they get points for nostalgia and retro and all, and I cannot fault them for anything. But this is a really good location, and it deserves a bit of an update, instead of looking like a run down "after" set for a time...
Read moreThis place has gone down hill…. Way way down. So I wanted pizza and wings for delivery…. 2 items from the $7 deal lovers… one medium one topping pizza and boneless garlic parm wings. Total would be $14 right then when asked to pay the total was $32…….. what!!!! Ok I understand a delivery charge so let’s look at it that way…. $32 was my total….. we will take away the $14 that my 2 items cost and that brings us to….. $18 for a delivery fee…… lol. I asked what was going on and was told by the person on the phone that the delivery fee was only $5.99…. So my order was $14 in food + $5.99 delivery fee for a total of $20 right!!!! Then why was my total $32? They told me that they did not know why it was ringing up that way but that was the total.. the entire exp was very very bad… the person on the phone was extremely rude and not helpful in the least. This use to be a good place. I don’t know what happened but this place can not even add right!!!!! 5...
