QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Wasilla

My reviews are honest and I don't over rate anyone. If I visit a hotel and give them 4 stars because they are a three star hotel but they do a great job to earn it, that's just my opinion of the service and experience I had there.

If I go to a Mexican eatery and I have crispy refried beans and the rice is hard and old, I'm not going to give them four stars. The soda seems like it wasn't as carbonated as well as other places. When a customer sees a soda they like at the soda fountain, they expect the same great taste and carbonation that they'd get from a bottle in the store. It carries the same name, it needs to be of the same quality. I emphasize comparability and quality in my reviews.

Great place to eat, I think of it as the Subway of Mexican food, I usually go with a burrito and because you tell them what you want every step of the way, the burrito is always great. Never had a burrito there that I didn't like.

I always ask for their spicy sauce cause that's how I like it but the beans and cheese and meat are always fresh and hot so you could do just fine with a normal bean and cheese or whatever. Try them out, I doubt you will regret it.

Downsides? Sometimes the lines are long and of course burritos can give indigestion in some. With my sensitive stomach it's hard to find a place that doesn't though.

So as someone who worked at Qdoba for years as a manger it just really frustrates me the inconsistency in your portions. When I worked there we gave out portion tests where you had a scale and you practiced your portions on all your rice, meats, beans, guacamole. I hardly got any rice, beans, or meat, had to pay extra for more meat because it wasn’t enough and then I had to much… even when she was putting on my salsas I hardly got a full scoop of Pico and had to ask for me and it just bothers me that when I do ask for things that aren’t extra cost for more I always get treated like it such a inconvenience and I should just be happy with the minimal amount...
