They had this Lego set under a shelf that said "low price" but with no barcode. It rang up for 44$ when on the app, the only method I have to check the price of stuff, said 30$ (online only.)
Online orders consist of pickup. I paced around the plaza for an hour trying to get this set for this price because corporate apparently will not let them price match pickup orders, even if I could walk in and grab that same item myself in less than 2 minutes.
They couldn't prioritize my pickup knowing I just walked in and tried to grab it, they couldn't write me a coupon, they couldn't mark down the price, they didn't apologize for a price not being listed in the store to begin with, a number of things they could've done besides telling me to go fly a kite. I work retail and I've done nothing but for the past 4 years and I know something's wrong if things like that can't be resolved at a store level. As far as I'm concerned, either the service reps were lying to me or this is another greedy corporation that doesn't give their service reps the power to actually run a business.
Walmart tends to not give me this kind of trouble. If you need something outdoorsy, Sportsman's Warehouse will price match online orders too. I normally don't shop at Target to begin with, so it should speak volumes if I'm already mad at them when I only come by when Walmart doesn't happen to...

When I got there they told me when I called that because I didn't use the app they couldn't bring it to my car and I would have to go in. When I got angry they told me they would just put my order back which was not an option as I was buying stuff to help a young person I know go to college and it was needed that night. When I went in they initially refused to even bring it to my car like they would for any older person. When I asked if they do that to all customers they agreed but made me move my car about 20 feet as they couldn't put it in my car in the drive up space.
