Taco Bell — Restaurant in Waterbury

I went here last 8/29/23 night at 10 o’clock at night and they were extremely busy. They had a lot of people through the drive-through. They had a lot of people ordering for pick up or on the machine they have to place an order in the establishment. I waited for someone to come to the counter for 10 minutes and No one approach the counter so I decided to be considerate and try to use the order food machine that was in the establishment for the first time and I placed the order they made the order they gave me the order and I looked in the bag to make sure I had everything and the two tacos that belong to the meal I ordered where at the bottom of the bag so I had no choice but to touch the rapper of the hard taco because it was at the bottom of the bag. I informed the employee that I wanted them to be soft tacos not hard tacos because My Husband had his tooth pulled she made a comment and erratic hostile manner. Why didn’t I press the soft taco on the order machine in the establishment? I informed the coworker that I was my first time ever using the machine and I don’t have one of those machines where I work at because I work in the food industry and the only reason why use the order machine in the establishment was because they were busy inside and through the drive-through. I asked if she could replace the hard tacos for the soft tacos. She said no because I touched it but I did not open the wrapper to the hard taco I did not look inside the hard taco. I left it completely wrapped up. I explain to her that if I was to have that demeanor to a customer where I work at My Boss would have a field day if I spoke to the customer, the way she was speaking to me. Highly unprofessional and then she got so frustrated she went to attack me and her coworkers had to hold her back from coming to the other side of the counter and I called the police because I don’t know why somebody would be so hostile over something that is so little when all I was trying to do was be considerate because they were busy. I don’t know why they couldn’t just take the hard tacos and give me soft tacos. And it was free taco Tuesday I just didn’t know how to redeem it. I hope taco Bell pulls the camera and gets this...

Not enough meat put on the tacos. All Waterbury Taco Bells are more expensive than outside City Taco Bells. You could never get a $5 dollar box it's always between $6.49 and $6.79. When they falsely claim double meat portion but you end up having the same portion size as the regular. To return numerous times because of the same issues. It's not only this Taco Bell it's all the Taco Bells from Waterbury and I bet their all owned by the same owner. Ashamed. As if you can't make enough of a profit by adding a regular portion size from years ago and having as advertised prices but wait Waterbury doesn't cooperate with those advertisements. Fix those 2 problems and I can promise you that even on your slowest days you'll still get a greater turnout than what you already have. That to me is the deal breaker when choosing to eat out. It's either Wendy's, Burger King, or McDonald's because at least I know that I'm going to be full off of a $5 quarter pounder oh wait they have a buy 1 get 1 free and a coupon for buy 1 get 1 for 50¢. Not a $3.99 quesedia with a side of guacamole for $4.66 with no meat in either ends of the the quesedia. Might I also add that taco Bell needs app coupons just like the other big 3 that I have mentioned. All those factors make a huge difference between choosing any of the fast food restaurants above and then...

The restaurant is dirty. Tables, chairs, soda machine, floor, high chairs, bathroom. I’m guessing this lady was a manager sitting at a table with another manager talking loudly about the dealings of the restaurants & personal business. She even said that when she was going over the reviews and complaints of the restaurants, she was trying to delete them because they weren’t favorable. But she couldn’t because items bought were missing from customers meals. She then walked to the counter and screamed at the employee in the back area about a laptop issue. Once back at the seat she was cursing out loud with the other manager. I asked her to please watch her language because I had a child with me. Really, come on, you’re that attention seeking? The face I got from her in return was so stank that only a mother could love. She didn’t proceed to do anything else. Needless to say, we won’t be bringing our business here anymore. And bad word of mouth travels fast & far. (The nachos were stuffed in the baggie & that made them cracked & crumbly.) I wouldn’t except to be treated so rudely & I was offended by the vulgarity.
