McDonald's — Restaurant in Waterford Township

I recently visited the McDonald's located on Dixie Highway in Waterford, MI, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The most concerning aspect was the condition of the restrooms. They were in a state of neglect, with the urinals appearing as if they hadn't been cleaned for an extended period. The floor was covered in urine, presenting both a hygiene issue and an unpleasant experience.

Additionally, the quality of the food and service was subpar. My burger seemed carelessly prepared, giving the impression that it was hastily thrown together without regard for presentation or quality. This lack of attention to detail in food preparation was disheartening for a brand known for its standards.

To make matters worse, the beverage options were limited as the soda machine was out of Diet Coke. This might seem minor, but it's an inconvenience for customers expecting a full range of drink options.

Moreover, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was disappointing. There was noticeable garbage on the floors, and despite this, the staff members seemed disengaged, mostly standing around rather than attending to these cleanliness issues.

We waited in line for a long time so we asked the lady if we could get a free fry she put her hands on her head like we had said something really bad and we didn't we were calm... So she sent a man and we talked to him for a minute and explained it and asked if we could have a small fry or Turner order into a Mac value and he said no it's too late for that you can't have it what happened to McDonald's when they care that they had to make you wait so long a small fry is the cheapest thing that you can ask for there's no reason for them to say no he said if I give you a small fry I'm going to have to give it to all the other customers the customers are not going to know that he gave us a small fry at the drive-thru the customers are all trying to be respectful to everybody and if the opportunity comes up where maybe you should give a free fry or hey do you want me to give you a free drink for taking so long they should always be offering since it needs to be guys I used to work at McDonald's remember that's my manager always always said we never got sent about any customer when they walked or went away from us ever we never said anything...

Complaint: I arrived at your location on Wednesday, August 27th at 8:50 PM. I placed my order at the kiosk, then briefly used the restroom. When I returned, my order was still not ready—understandable at first. However, after waiting about seven minutes, the screen indicated my order (#658) was “now serving” and no longer “preparing.”

During this time, an off-duty employee arrived with his brother. They began talking with another employee named Alex. I personally witnessed the brother place his order at the counter after I had already been waiting. Despite this, his order was prepared and served before mine.

This isn’t a matter of an online order being placed earlier—I watched the transaction happen in real time. Somehow, a personal acquaintance of the staff had their food prioritized ahead of a paying customer who had already been waiting.
