Had to wait in drive-thru a REALLY (yes, that long) long time, only to find out that we had to wait more when we got to the window to pick up our order. Ugh. Anyway, we often stop and eat in a parking lot around the corner, which we did today, only to find out our order was wrong. Ugh! My wife was missing her favorite piece of the particular meal she ordered and we had no plasticware. So, now I had to physically walk in to get some plasticware because the drive-thru was very busy and I had just had a poor experience there. Ugh. Fine, I as I step in, I see 4 or 5 people waiting in a curved line pretty much leading right where I would have to step sideways, to get out of the way of someone who might come in the door behind me. Ugh! Okay now, I always assume that I'm the least important person in the room, when I find myself needing some service or assistance, so I may have taken my place in line just to get some plasticware, but I was just certain I could find some available in the customer area. Good. No need to wait in line for my plasticware. I quickly scan the longish counter space as I walk toward the drink dispenser area. I briefly scanned the rest of the layout of the store as well, on the way there and found nothing of interest. I didn't even get to the other side of the smallish store, where the drink station was, because I could not easily get through the people standing in line as it curved from the counter, backward past the drink station and around toward the the door. Even if I were to politely step through the line to get to the station, I would be uncomfortably close to the people standing in it to feel that I could freely move around. As I was contemplating that thought, I could clearly see beyond the people in line, that there was no plasticware available. Ugh. Now, I must come up with a new plan to get plasticware that would not require waiting in line. Who would be that stupid? Hello. Yeah, it's me. I don't want to though and I think it shouldn't be necessary, but I realize as I'm standing there, and easily step to the counter, that I'm not sure it was completely obvious to everyone already standing in line that all I need is plasticware. So, I make a big long motion of looking around the room and looking slightly disappointed as I complete my scan and turn to the counter hoping to find a person who can help me obtain plasticware asap. No one is there. Hmmm. There are a few workers interacting with each other, but so far none who are within speaking range. Now, I had definitely bypassed those in line, so I could've just stood there and waited for someone's attention and once I had my stuff, everyone would see what happened, I'd be out the door and on my way back to my life. Or, I could stand there and think about all that, becoming increasingly uncomfortable until I found myself turning around to face those in line and saying, "I just got my incorrect order from a long drive-thru wait, got to the window, had to wait more, NOT included in my incorrect order was plasticware. Sorry." I gave an apologetic motion and turned back to wait some more. It seemed as though the room was empathetic with my plight, so I felt better. I eventually got our plasticware and we ate a slightly disappointing and less than hot meal. Now, I could have told you everything you needed to know by just posting my quote above to you, but I found myself enjoying sharing an un-enjoyable experience with all of you. Sorry for that. Most of the time everything is fine at this location, but not everytime. So, 3 stars, but will be lowered if consistency does not improve. So far, I have leaned toward giving them the benefit of the...
Read moreI used to go to KFC as a kid often, and had very good memories of it, as I got older it has been a long time since I had been back, I finally decided to give it another try when I saw an advertisement for something cheap enough that I could afford, I purchased one of those bundles for $7, the chicken was clearly old and dried out partly and other parts were soggy from steamed and being microwaved mashed potatoes and have nearly enough gravy the drink machine all the drinks were warm the little pie thing that was inside had little flavor with stale and soggy at the same time, but the worst part is that this was during the summer one of the hottest days and they had no air conditioning at all they didn't even have fans going, there was only two people, an employee working both drive through and inside and a manager, they were working in the hot kitchen, bright red and covered needs of sweat and looking like they were going to pass out, the employee working both inside and drive through even suede and had to grab onto a shelf in order to keep herself steady, this is completely unacceptable to treat any human being this way, if KFC is unable to provide air conditioning or even a bare minimum of a couple fans it should not be open they should be closed until they get it repaired. Not to mention the food was terrible, stale and soggy. And then after I tried to get in touch with KFC about the disgraceful situation, they never got back to me.
Not to mention I had just signed up for the rewards program thinking that I would be able to go more often before the situation, in the rewards program on sign up they give you a free bucket of chicken with the purchase of $15 or more, it had no listed expiration date, but a couple weeks later, when I was going to use it, I add it to my cart in my phone app and was ready to purchase when suddenly it vanished from my account, there was no listed expiration date, that it expired, or that it even existed, when I tried to get in touch with KFC about my free bucket of chicken missing, they refused to respond at all to the problem, they would not say that it had an expiration date and wasn't listed, they would not say that it was a glitch in their app or website, they didn't even apologize or say that they would even try to resolve the problem, they only wanted to blame a specific location on the situation, instead of taking responsibility for something going wrong in their app, the missing chicken offer from the app that was given to me for joining the rewards program going missing is a responsibility of KFC and their rewards program and app not a specific location which is usually owned by individual people and not the franchise itself. Because they absolutely refuse to take any responsibility and making this situation right or apologizing I will never go back and never support them in any way.
I highly discourage going to KFC especially this location it is not worth it, we who would support them deserve better and deserved the respect that they...
Read moreWhat a joke. I walked inside and waited at the counter for quite a while. The girl was on the headset taking order after order for the drive-thru. Two times she looked at me then looked away basically not even acknowledging my presence. The young man begging the food noticed me and asked her where everyone was at.
At this time still no one said a darn thing to me. She replied "they're outside." Obviously they don't care about the customers coming in the store and are more worried about their windows and times. Two employees came in the main door and scurried to the back. One woman came out and assisted the guy that was doing all the bagging within seconds and the other guy disappeared to the back. Again, I still stand at the counter. The girl that had walked in the door looked at me while assisting the guy bagging and asked me "if I was waiting for a pickup". I replied "no, I was waiting to place an order." At least she tells me somebody will be right with me.
I still stand there as they continue backing up the orders that I heard placed while standing there waiting. Then I get the smell of pot. Got it - now I know what was happening outside. The original guy begging the food asked the gal running the window if she could get the counter. She replied sure in a few and proceeded to take another order over her headset. At this point I just turned around and walked out. I could definitely smell the pot in the vestibule. Obviously you guys don't care too much about the inside so, why even have it open?
Hope you guys have a great rest of your shift and don't burn anything or anyone. Sorry, but what a joke!!!! I was there at 5:30 PM on Thursday the 16th of February.
Place definitely needs an overhaul or staff that cares more.
Thanks, will...
