I stayed at the Best Western in Waterville for 7 days and ate here three times and each time I had a great meal and wonderful service. The interior of this place is really neat if you like old wood. Most of the wood was reclaimed from old sailing ship, which you could see by the mortise and tenon joints that were visible throughout the restaurant. The pub/bar area is rich dark wood and is not that lit, but that is fine with me. Not a bad beer selection and they did have one IPA that was not bad. Food was great. I had their philly flatbed that was really tasty one night, then I tried their beef and Guinness that was rich and flavorful. The last night I was there was their wing night and they do make some great wings. The wing night in Thursday and it was a bit crowded that night, but the rest of the nights it had people in there, but not packed like it is on wing night. Also they provided the breakfast in the morning where you can chose from a couple of options (like coffee and juice along with two eggs, choice of meats and toast), but if you did not like those you could order off the full breakfast menu and use your coupon for $7 off the cost of the breakfast. I would recommend O'Brien's if you are ever traveling through Central Maine.

Had a work meeting here today. Currently pouring rain out. So combine the two and you get the perfect night to go to the restaurant in the hotel to order food and just bring it back to the room. Thank goodness work pays for meals when we travel because I am a bit disappointed here. This is bruschetta and American chop Suey….Umm, what? It’ll do if you are a guy that does trades work but if not and you are paying for this, you’re gonna be disappointed. These two items were $31 plus I tipped $9 to round it off to $40. Again glad work pays for meals because I wouldn’t have payed that much if I got it at any other place.

This place was a pleasant surprise. I didn't think a hotel would have such quality food. The waitress was wonderful. She paid attention to are needs and never left our drinks empty. The food was great. Actually eat in Waterville a lot and have to say that I won't be going to Governor's again after finding this place today. Last time I went to Governor's my salad was brown and they brought me out another and it was just as bad. So, Governor's has lost my business and I'll be going to O'BRIEN'S from now on. The room is wonderfully decorated too. They have up barn wood and looks so rustic and charming.

We ate here four times on our trip. First it was out of convenience being right in the hotel, but the second night because the food was really great. First night we had appetizers and salad. The salad had loads of fresh veggies including snap peas and yellow tomatoes. Quesadillas were packed with peppers, onions, and grilled chicken. And chicken wings were crispy and served with chunky blue cheese and carrots and celery. Next night we had burgers and a chicken steak that was also excellently prepared with very fresh veggies and crispy fries. I travel a bit and wanted to take a moment to recognize a small town hotel restaurant doing a great job for a very...

Would not recommend at all. Granted they where short staffed but not busy. I had to chase the server down multiple times. Watched a guy get his food who put his order in 30 minutes after mine (just ordered a burger) waited an hour still with no service. Had a cup of soda no straw or refill offered. After an hour without being updated on when my food was coming or being checked on while watching the server chum it up with regulars i decided to leave and hit a drive through else where. I understand being short staffed todays day and age but that was the absolute worst service ive ever had. I was there for an hour and a half to drink a soda out of a plastic...
