Culver’s — Restaurant in Waukegan

Do not eat here unless you want hair in your order!!

Went there today and ordered a burger, tenders and a concrete. The order came out and the concrete had long hair on the cup. I let the young lady know and she gave a dirty look and said I'll make another one. I said ok but decided to go inside to see them make it. She had another young lady make it. I get the second one and it also has hair on it, I point it out to her and she says it's lent, I said no that's hair. It was about 10 or so inches, she then says it's only on the cup. I then say yeah and I have no idea what's on the inside. I say to her just give me a refund I'll bring your food in, I then proceeded to go and grab the bag of food. The manager Brenda is watching the entire scenario unfold and says nothing. I say to Brenda aren't you the manager and she says yes. I said I spoke to you about a month ago about hair being in my order and told you that they should be wearing hair nets, Also, you sent me an email offering free fries and a medium mixer. She says oh I'm sorry I'll make sure they pay more attention.

What a joke!

I was there with my client who is in an electric chair. Our first impression was that the cashier wasn't the kindest. She seemed annoyed at my handicapped client who was having a hard time reading the menu. The handicapped accessibility is not great....the doors are not automatic so unless someone is with you, or a stranger is kind enough to hold the door, you're not getting in. The walkway for a wheelchair is very narrow plus the swinging doors don't give you much room. Inside the restaurant, there's plenty of room and it's beautiful, but getting inside with a wheelchair isn't easy. Every employee at the restaurant seemed a little worn out. 😕 I'm used to Culver's employees being friendly- too bad Waukegan can't ever catch up in this manner. Beautiful city,...

So I'm finally leaving my very first review for a Culver's venue and after all these years, definitely comes out on top over some of the most popular mass franchise burger joints with the likes of McD's, BK, Wendy's, etc.

Culver's is possibly the fastest growing of any popular fast food chain, dining areas are always clean/sanitized, menu is extensive with still reasonable prices & better than the 3 burger joints I mentioned and customer service reigns supreme over just about any fast food chain out there.

Burgers + frozen custard are a statewide tradition in WI and I'm glad this awesome franchise is spreading across the rest of the country. Food is always delivered hot & fresh to you with a smile and truly Culver's is at the forefront of...
