Hunan Hibachi Buffet — Restaurant in Waukegan

I’ve been to many places, but I especially liked it here. Some people come to the buffet and have to pay at the entrance right away. I was looking for a place where I could go with my relatives, and I chose this one at random. When I arrived and walked in, I found out that here you can pay either at the end or right away—whichever you prefer.

In other places, they don’t immediately bring out fresh hot food—it takes some time, even if there’s not much left or if the food has gone cold. But here, hot food is constantly available. If a dish is supposed to be cold, the staff keep refreshing it so that the trays are never empty.

I was pleasantly surprised that even close to closing time, everything is still fully stocked, and they continue cooking right up until the end. In other places, they stop cooking and don’t refill the food because they assume few people will come near closing time. But here, people can come whenever it’s convenient for them without worrying that the kitchen will stop preparing food or that the food will be cold.

The staff are friendly—especially the woman who took my payment. She often came over when I needed something or had a question. The price is reasonable, and now this is my favorite place. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. There’s a large hall where you can hold celebrations in a separate room if you have a big group. And if you have a small group, there are also cozy tables for four.

I recommend this place. If you’re not into sushi, you can choose from a variety of meats and fish—or the other way around. Unlike many other places where it’s either sushi, shrimp, and crab, or only meat with various side dishes and salads, here you can eat have both.

I know that everything can be great and people may really enjoy this place, but sometimes a staff member might make a mistake. Then a customer comes in, leaves a bad review, gets upset, and decides the whole place is bad. But when many people agree that the place is good, and one customer happens to notice a single issue and starts complaining instead of pointing it out to help the staff improve—then the problem isn’t the place, but the attitude.

Some people are just dissatisfied with everything. But we shouldn’t forget that everyone can make mistakes, and we can all work on getting better. That’s why I believe we should help one another and be kind—because kindness always comes back to you. I truly believe that. And I wish everyone a...

Ate here for the first time over the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and look of the inside of the restaraunt. As the outside is not too appealing. I actually made my food to go as i wasn't able to dine in and enjoy in this particular day. There were soooo many selections of food I lost my mind trying to put EVERYTHING in to go containers lol. When taking out it is $4.75 per pound. I ended up having two hearty to go containers which amounted to about $13 bucks. Great food and a lot of it at a great value! Food was delicious and fresh as all get out. I have to be honest though, something made me sick as a dog because after eating the food i was literally glued to my bathroom for the next 2 days. So much so that i thought i was going to have to go to the ER. I'm not sure what i ate there that didnt agree with me, but when i tell you I've never gotten that sick from a restaraunt NEVER!!!! My guess.....maybe it was the sushi i had. Everything else was stuff i eat on the regular, sushi every now and again. Very clean Chinese buffet! Staff were so polite and very attentive to each table. Past buffets I've been to staff were just not like this place staff. They made us feel welcome from the start and thru our whole stay.

The food was piping hot. You could tell how fresh all entrees were. The steam was coming up from under the buffet islands to keep all dishes warm, rather hot. Food was tasty, even my soup was. Our past normal buffet, compared to this place food was lifeless and no flavor that we used to go in RLB. Never again will I return to RLB biggest hibachi buffet after going here. This is our new place.

The lowest priced buffet in Lake County. We had coupons and cost was under ten bucks each. Soft drinks are separate price.

So many delicious entrees. Hibachi entree cooked to order for me was yummy. They have fresh made sushi but I don't care for that so I can't comment on it.

They have remodeled and I really like how it looks in here now. They also have over 21 casino games in a small area.

They made our dad's birthday special. They do have a separate room in back for private group dining. Close to navy base for graduation dinners.

We will be returning. I knew when we pulled up and had so many cars it was a sign people like it. We lived whole evening.
