Our first Sushi as well as Take Out experience here. We were craving Sushi and saw the glowing reviews in here so off course had to give this a shot! We ordered a portion Each of Flying Dragon Roll, Snow Mountain Roll and Scorpion King Roll. That's a $52 order of Sushi. Our dishes came in 2 Boxes. 1 with 1 portion of Sushi laid out fine. The other relatively larger box had the 2 remaining Sushi dishes DUMPED together in one sloppy mess (I imagine to save the cost of 1 Box). Couldn't figure out which ones which and the flavors got all tanged up. Anyways it only gets worse from here.. Tempura seafood was more breading than meat and tasted stale. Both I and my wife ended up with a bad queasy stomach. The Sushi in itself barely had much of the other seafood they had advertised. And did I mention the confusing flavor profiles due to 2 different Sushi dishes being cramped together. $52 for 3 portions of Sushi aint cheap and for this place, most definitely not worth it! Disappointing..

We tried to dine at Meiji's Sunday evening, but it was so busy that the parking lot was full and at least 3 more cars were entering the lot and couldn't get in - a real traffic jam! This evening, Tuesday, there were open parking spots, but not many. We were lucky to get a Hibachi table. All 3 Hibachi tables were being used, and one turned and was quickly filled. I ordered filet Hibachi medium rare, and it was delicious!! Dinner included soup, salad, fried rice, and vegetables. Although the restaurant was very busy, we weren't rushed, and I enjoyed hot Saki and my dinner. This was my first time at Meiji's for Hibachi, but I've had sushi for dinner several times at Meiji's. I would definitely celebrate special events or bring guests here!!

I wish I would have read these reviews first. But have enjoyed lunch here several times. Brought my wife for the first time and she ordered the Walnut Shrimp. Only problem was they subbed out the walnuts with pecans and she hates pecans. When we brought it to servers attention she laughed it off and looked it up on her phone and said something about translating but spoke perfect English. She then said she thinks they're walnuts but dont look like walnuts. Lol... they were pecans for sure... My food also NOT good tonight. Ordered a spicy chili chicken dish and it literally had more dried chilis than chicken. Crab Rangoon absolutely had no crab meat at all. Waste of time and I feel bad I brought my wife there.

Worst service and they WILL charge you 18% tip automatically! Went there for Father's day. Had the worst experience ever! Worst service! We went there a lot, food normally was okay, but after this time, we will never go back. We booked a reservation for Hibachi for 6:30 pm. We arrived 6:25, waited over 10 minutes for someone to sited us. And then we waited at the table again, no one come over to take our order or even greet us. After 20 minutes sitting at the table, at 6:55 pm, finally our server came over to take our order (after we made our first complain). Then we were left at the table AGAIN! Ever one around us, some even came in later, had their Hibachi meal finished! We were sitting at our table waiting again, for 40 minutes! We have a 2 year-old with us, over one hour had nothing to do and nothing to eat. the baby was getting very tired and very hungry, with the hibachi table, it was very hot just sitting there, everyone was sweating, you can imagine how frustrated we were! At 7:35, the hibachi chef came over, we told them the wait was not acceptable and we wanted to talk to the manager. The Manger came and heard our story, did not apologist the whole time and said "let the chef cook for now and I will see what I can do". Then she left, and we were sitting there and waiting for the chef AGAIN for over 10 minutes! The chef didn't even come until we went looking for him! The whole Hibachi experience took about 15 minutes, and the chef over cooked the steaks and the salmon. After the meal we wanted just to go and ask for the check. When we got the check, we saw the check with a 18% tips included! Remember the manger said " I will see what I can do"? What she did was adding a automatic 18% tip into the check for a group of very unsatisfied customers. We called in the Manager again, asked her to refund the 18% tips. She processed the refund, again, no apology! We never gave a 0% tip before, this was our first time and this was the worst service ever! After finding out we put down the $0 tip, the server started yelling at us! And chasing after us when we were walking out of the restaurant. What a terrible way to celebrate the...

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I have eaten here before and their sushi was very good so I decided to bring my daughter and her husband here for hibachi. To start I ordered an old fashioned which is essentially Bourbon, bitters and a cherry. They asked if I wanted it sweet or sour. Which made no sense until it came out. Bad but forgivable. So we ordered. I had squid, daughter had only sushi and her husband steak and shrimp. The guy comes out, says who wants sake, sprays it in peoples mouths and then nothing. No twirling, no egg spinning no nothing. Is was like they had the dishwasher come out to cook. He had no idea what he was doing or the order he was supposed to do it in. Everything and I mean everything was overcooked. The egg for the rice was browned, the veggies were mush and covered with so much sauce it was inedible, I thought the the shrimp was like rubber until I had the squid and then I knew what rubber was really like. The steak was well done instead of medium. The only upside was there wasn’t any eggshells in the fried rice. My daughters sushi didn’t come out until the meal was done and it was soggy because they forgot so it sat on the counter for 20 minutes. The last thing to come out was the appetizer. Water glasses and drinks were empty and no one was even asked if they wanted another until the meal was over. I waited until after the meal to complain because everyone was talking and the conversation between the other patrons was great. When I left I complained and got an “I’m sorry you had a bad experience”. I understand there are staffing issues everywhere but there were four employees standing up front doing absolutely nothing. Also only book for the staff you have, losing customers because you decide volume is more important than quality will cost you more in the long run. I would not recommend coming here for hibachi ever. If you come for sushi do it at an off time. Me personally, this was my last visit. A good manager is important and they desperately need a good one! Bottom line, I could have had better hibachi at a...

Our family went to this venue every year for the past four years for my daughters birthday. Normally we have a blast and amazing food. This last time will be our last time though as the experience here has changed.

Our party was so large that we took up two entire tables/grills at the Hibachi. They had a chef come out to cook for the other table of our guests, and everything seem smooth for them. They already began eating before our chef came out at our table.

Now, we understand that things happen but the oven went out mid cooking. So we essentially sat there for thirty minutes while our rice (which was already cooked) got cold on our plates. Our meats were still on the grill waiting for an oven to get it cooked.

Keep in mind now, our guests at the other table have already been long done eating and were waiting for the rest of the party to continue.

Now, we brought our own cake. We called ahead of time to make sure this was okay and nothing was mentioned by the staff on the phone about a plate fee (which I find ridiculous in the first place.)

We cut our own cake, used their plates and forks, and they wanted to charge us two dollars per plate. I would understand if they provided more of a service (liked cutting the cake) or even if we didn't just spend as a party nearly $700 dollars not including tips. I was baffled.

As I said we normally love this place. We love their food. We had a bad experience with a long wait time and cold food with zero compensation or apologies. And then we were not aware they wanted to charge us to use a plat and a fork to serve cake to our guests. They should make this more of a point.

Maybe, if I ever do come back, I'll update this review at that time. But that is unlikely at this point. I left the restaurant with a sour taste...
