Three problems:
I needed something to eat, semi-emergency situation, was already in the car traveling towards the Sunset Dr location. So I called. Asked for any deals they had, didn't want to spend a fortune, just needed something to eat here. Was told, slowly, by someone in a call center 5000 miles from this location, the three "best deals." None of which were great. After ordering, paying for, and picking up my pizza, when I could search online myself, immediately found a deal that was 5 dollars cheaper. So problem 1, lied to by the people who answer the phones for Papa John's.
Phone guy told me my pizza would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes. Sigh. Ok, was less than 10 minutes away but whatever, I get it, maybe there are 15 orders ahead of mine that haven't hit the oven yet. Got to store, dog in car, didn't want to leave dog alone for 15 minutes while I twiddled thumbs in lobby, so far in car for 10 minutes staring at the Papa John's sign. After 20 minutes total, went into store, my pizza has been sitting there on the counter cooling for at least 5 of the minutes I've been killing time. Should be happy it got done ahead of schedule, right? Well no, I would have been happy if you told me 15 minutes instead of 25 if it would be ready in 15. Waste less time, have hotter pizza.
Got where I was going, sat down to wolf some pizza, picked up the tub of whatever that tasty psuedo-garlic-butter is so I can dunk some crust, and it dribbles out of the already-open tub onto my leg and the floor. Cool, now I got a really tasty leg, stained clothing, a greasy floor, and a dipping sauce that I cannot trust to not poison me. Neato.
The pizza itself was meh-fine, not spectacular.
All in all, not a great...
Read moreHello, had a wonderful night planned for my family on the last day of Christmas Vacation. We had movies and were ordering a pizza.
I Ordered online, we picked up the pizza, labeled correctly on the box, got it home and it was wrong.
I called in and I Spoke to Mike who first insulted me as a man and my gender calling me a female, addressing me as ma’am, on the phone. I let him Know I was a Sir. Ok mistakes happen...
I asked for a pizza to be delivered & was told no bc Pewaukee, being the next municipality over from Waukesha, was just too far. He offered to make a new one today or for the future with a “guarantee”. Shouldn’t all orders be guaranteed correctly I asked? I asked how this happened & if he is the manager he should know what was going on in his kitchen.
If things started out bad, then it got even worse and Mike’s lack of training and customer support was on display front and center. After I asked him how this could happen in his kitchen, he threw another huge insult at me, calling me MA’AM (AND HANGING UP) once again after I explained I was a male and a sir. He obviously did this on purpose to get the last laugh in before hanging up. The sinister tone in his voice was not mistakable.
I was furious! I could not believe he called me ma’am again on purpose and hung up on me. That being said, I gathered myself. Calmed down and called back & politely said , verbatim “you can hang up on me if you wish, but do not call me a ma’am. To which he hung up on me again.
The level of humiliation & pain caused by Mike is something I never would have expected when choosing to order Papa John’s tonight.
Mike and his treatment of me will never...
Read moreI ordered wings for delivery on 11/20 and I never received my order. Either the delivery driver kept my wings or delivered them to the wrong address. The Papa tracker stated that my order had been delivered. The driver needs to be fired for incompetence. I tried calling the store and of course no one answered the phone. I reached out to customer service, let's see if I get a refund.
Update: So it turns out that Papa Johns uses Door dash when they don't have their own drivers to use for deliveries. So it was a Door dash driver who decided to lie and claim that my food was delivered. I still haven't received the refund for food that I NEVER RECEIVED. Besides reaching out to customer service I spoke with 2 managers at the store level. The GM was the last person I spoke with and she said that she would speak with her supervisor to see if she could get me a refund. The charges on my credit card went from pending to posted so apparently Papa Johns does not care about stealing from customers.
Update #2: So Papa John's refunded my money and they apologized profusely for the mistake which wasn't even their fault to begin with. I guess the transaction needed to go thru before they could then reverse it. I want to thank the GM at this location for helping me get my refund. She did right by me unlike the Door Dash driver. So come out and support her and her hard...
