DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU’RE HISPANIC!! It is sad that a place that has Hispanic workers and sells Hispanic food discriminates against their own people. We went there for lunch. Their parking lot was more than half empty and they visibly had open tables. There was no one waiting when we got there so we were surprised to be told we had to wait at least 15 minutes. The hostess did not give us options as to where we would like to sit or anything; just said we had to wait. We were surprised but when to sit. Before we even got to the waiting bench a group of 4 caucasians came in (we were a group of 3) and the hostess immediately sat them. When we asked why that happened, she ignored us and pretended she didn’t hear or see us. When I insisted on asking for an explanation, her coworker overheard and said she didn’t know because she was a waitress, not a hostess. Meanwhile, the hostess stood there pretending she didn’t hear anything. When I walked up to the host stand and asked to speak to a manager, she continued to pretend to not hear me and bent down to pretend she was looking for something in the stand. Her coworker from earlier came up to talk to her and the hostess switched to Spanish to talk to her. I immediately switched to Spanish and called her out for her rude behavior. She looked shocked, got up and just left. Another Caucasian customer came in asking for a table for 3 (same size group as us) and the waitress grabbed menus and immediately guided her up. When I called her out and demanded to know why we had to wait and the other customer didn’t (they don’t do reservations, we’ve tried), she said that if we would have just waited then they would have sat us. Why did we had to wait when there were clearly open tables and Caucasian customers didn’t need to wait? The manager eventually showed up and denied any wrongdoing, didn’t have an explanation for what happened, and just offered to sit us at THE BAR. Not a table; the bar. They hire Hispanic people to work there to attempt to appear authentic but then discriminate against their own people who are customers. So warning to all the Hispanics out there. Be prepared to be treated as less than by the staff here. Best take your...
Read moreI will get straight to the point. I have been a customer for over 16 years at the Cedar Hill Location. I purchased a home in Waxahachie so I started going to your Waxahachie location. Well last night I ordered single beef fajitas. I noticed it had way too much seasoning so I called and asked to speak to the manager around 7pm 12/13/23 I explained I was headed to work and I worked for the medical examiner so I wouldn’t be able to return the food until the next day. Well, I returned the food and asked that they make it regular that I think it was just a one off. The host brought back my food and said they made it with no seasoning. I was like I didn’t ask for that, and sent it back. She brought it back again and said they added a little seasoning I tasted it and just left because it was a lot of people there and I didn’t want to keep sending food back My point I didn’t ask for any special accommodations so I called the manager when I got home. He proceeded to keep going back and forth and said he can refund me but not to come back because they remade the food .
How he mad at me for making my food the way they wanted to make it. When I clearly explained it had to be a one off! I order two things for the past 16 years enchiladas and fajitas . I’m a family of 7 and spend well over a $100.00 when we visit as a family. I feel he was condescending, rude and unprofessional and very dismissive, he refused to give me the GM info only told me to call the night manager. I had to call cedar hill location to...
Read moreBefore I leave this review, I think it is important to remark that I am leaving it based on my own Experience with my dish (I ordered the Tacos Al carbón)
So, yesterday we finally visited Campuzano's, we have gotten so many recommendations from different friends and we took the time to pay them a visit...the place is very aesthetic yet inside it can be a bit too loud.
We ordered our food, and I was surprised to get my dish... My order was "Tacos Al Carbón" yet, I did not got that, if you see on the receipt.. it says (fajita chicken) in stead of pollo Al carbón, I ate only one taco cause it was passed out dinner time and I was sort of hungry, I asked the waiter (Hispanic male, early to mid 30's) if that was the way they served tacos Al carbón...and he said "yes, all the time" to which I replied, ... "That is odd, I am Mexican.. and Carne or Pollo Al carbón is made Al carbón" then the waiter said, "oh... We grilled it" and I said... Wow, that makes sense. Then he left. I just told my Husband it is very odd to advertise something as "Al carbón" and grill it. Anyone who has had original tacos Al carbón could understand that The flavour of the meat/chicken has , Al carbón is far more superior than just serving something tossed on the grill. I am not disappointed, yet rather puzzled why advertised a dish that is NOT served as it should. This is misleading. I am not sure if I could give them a try again for something different, maybe in the near future I could and then I will...
