Had the worst visit by far at the waxahachie location. Went with my family for a nice meal I'm 32 weeks pregnant with a 2 year old that is autistic. My husband goes in before we even get my son out to ask for a booth and a chair at the end of table because aka I'm pregnant and so my son can sit beside my husband and not try to run around. Seemed to be no problem well get inside waitress that isn't even our server or waiter helps us at first I order our food and say I needed my meat well done being it's the only way I can eat it and she said that would be no problem, she seemed nice, but at this time even after ordering i was still waiting for a chair. Our actual waiter comes with food i ask about a chair to be told i could not sit at end of table because it would be in the way. I check my meat it was not well done asked if he could take it back and fix it and he comes back 10 minutes later to tell me there is no way they can cook the meat well done, which makes no sense because they have before. So I ask for just the noodles with out the meat he comes back with it after another 10 minutes by this time I'm in pain because of the table putting a lot of pressure on the top of my stomach because the table and seats were way to close together. I start crying after I say something to the waiter and he makes the comment well I can clean you a seat at a different table so you can just sit and eat. I asked why would I want to come pay this much money to eat with my family and have to sit across the room away from them just to eat. Makes no since. Then he says well I can get you a to go box and you can just take it with you. I asked again why would I pay that much money to have to take my food home and eat it cold that isn't right. He had nothing to say and so I just told him by this time I'm crying and in pain and just want to leave for him to take it off of the bill because I couldn't eat it under the situation and just want a to go box for my sons left overs. He takes it and leaves after 20 minutes he brings the ticket with a tiny box not big enough for the left overs of my sons leaves again after another 5 to 10 minutes finally shows back up with a bigger box then leaves before even taking the money to pay for my husband and sons meals. After waiting another 10 minutes I had had enough took the money to the front and left and cryed my way home because of the pain. This is no way to treat any customer and will not be returning and will be fileing a report with the corporate office. No one should have to go...
Read moreBy far the worst experience in any restaurant I've ever had, our server was a tall African American woman who you have to keep reminding her to get you breadsticks, she doesn't refill your drinks or ask if you want refills on your soups or salads, after 30-40 minutes she told us that the kitchen is "working" on our food. So we keep waiting and she keeps passing us not saying a word to us not offering us any drinks nothing at all, just completely ignoring us. But she kept checking up on the other big party and booth that got to the restaurant AFTER US asking them if they needed anything and if their food tasted good. Finally after almost 2 HOURS some people of our party decided to leave tired of waiting and being ignored, others went to the front to ask for a manager, after asking for a manager our server wants come up to our table and tell us "Oh there was a mix up with the kitchen and that everything we ordered went to another table and that she’s very sorry” which is crazy because our party was 12!!! How do you lose 12 plates of food and now you're telling us after almost 2 hours?!?! If we're gonna wait that long at least continue to check up on us and offer drinks, breadsticks and salad instead of flat out ignoring us. That’s when we told our server most of our party had already left and all she said was “I’m so sorry I don’t even know what to say”. Once the manager came to ask what happened we told her we've been waiting for 2 hours and haven't received any food, she told us "can you guys hold on I need to go talk to another table I'll be right back" now why would we want to wait any longer after 2 HOURS!?!?! In the end, the birthday girl was told that the meals were going to be worked on immediately and that the meals would be free but again after all that time being ignored our appetites were shot and we decided they didn't deserve...

The event in question was a 75th birthday dinner celebration for my aunt. My cousins had to opt to bringing her in to your restaurant with family and friends, which is her favorite restaurant. Several calls were made to make sure that the proper information was passed along to all that would attend the celebration. Most of the family was timely at 7pm with some even arriving well before. We had several seniors of our family with us including the birthday girl, her 91-year-old mother and my 81-year-old mother. We waited in the bar area and were not seated until 9:10 pm. The manager on duty never came to the family to provide other options for us. My cousins repeatedly went to him to get status. I completely understand that the size of the party appeared to be a challenge to him, however if he would have just taken the time out to come and make sure our elders, at the very least, were taken care of, I would not feel this correspondence would have been necessary. Even after finally being seated, he did not come out to greet us, to offer an apology or anything. Our paper menus were even stuck to the table. This was also not a good look for this establishment. It has been sometime since I have been to Olive Garden and I don’t feel that I will be returning anytime in the near or distant future.
The only favorable point of the evening is our one server. She handled all of us quickly and efficiently and we made sure to tip her so that her efforts were not ding due to her management structure’s inept approach to problem resolution.
Respectfully, JB Sneed
