Osuba in Waxahachie is truly a hidden gem in the culinary scene! From the moment I entered, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The host was exceptional, always ensuring our drinks were full, which made for a delightful start to the evening.

The highlight of our dining experience was undoubtedly the hibachi chef. His talent and flair were on full display as he cooked right in front of us, creating a show that was as entertaining as it was delicious. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor and freshness. It was evident that the chef takes pride in his craft, and it certainly paid off!

The service throughout the night was amazing—top-notch A+! The staff was attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal.

As for the atmosphere, it was both comforting and fun, making it an ideal setting for a night out with friends or family. The lively energy combined with the sizzling sounds of the grill created an inviting ambiance that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Service was horrible. Any special request was ignored and when mentioned they acted like I was bothering them. I asked to substitute broccoli for the steam rice and was told it be an extra charge. The receipt was brought to me with extra side vegetable $5.00 and then broccoli $2.00. I asked what the extra side was for and the waitress said my manger rang it up let me ask him. When the card was charged the broccoli was taken off and the extra vegetable remained so $5.00 for broccoli instead of rice. I order from the kitchen and my kids ordered from the grill. I got my appetizer with just my main meat and then later my sushi and then after I finished all my food the broccoli was brought out. This was all done before the grill got even started. If I mentioned any error to the waitress she would say I put it in that way it’s the kitchen not my fault. Never did a manger come to see how our food or service was. A piece of hair was on a sushi. When leaving and taking food to go was asked if we would like a to go ginger sauce. This never made it to the table or a bag to carry the to go in. First time going and will be the last time. The...

Nice layout. They seem to be renovating. Protein was slightly small portioned but the price made up for it. Very reasonable.

Sushi rolls were nice and clean. We had 4 different kinds and each was made correctly and rolled well. Nice to look at.

Not quite the best hibachi bar, although with everything it comes with, maybe the best deal in hibachi around. You can go pay 2 or 3 times more somewhere else, you won't get twice the experience over there.

Edit. The last two times I have been shorted in my vegetables and shrimp. Once my wife and I even ordered the same thing. She got several more shrimp. Another person got shrimp when they didn't order and a mound of vegetables. I heard the order. They didn't order extra. It could be because of the side I was on relative to the chef. It was a noticeable difference. When you're paying $50 a person, i dont care about the more, no one should get less.

Edit 2: the last couple times we've had Marko as a waiter and he is wonderful. So good he might get me to redo my entire review. Whatever hes got, make sure it spreads. Very attentive...
