I went there for the first time ever, on this past Monday, to treat my neighbor as a favor for their assistance and hospitality with my vehicle. My neighbor chose this place, in which I will never return. The staff member would not seat us where I asked to be seated. There was a certain clientele of people that seemed more favorable and preferential to them to their show of attendance to them. The staff member who chose our setting was not friendly or cordial in greeting, in taking orders, or in checking to see if everything was well. The orders we chose were to go. The staff brought the bag of orders to the table with the receipt and walked away. We took our orders out to check to see if we had everything we ordered. My neighbor chose a meal that consisted of a meat entrée with 2 side vegetables, I ordered an appetizer, and I ordered a to go container for a family member as well. When my neighbor checked their order, the vegetables were mixed all over the meat in the meat section of the food container. When I checked my order, my appetizers' breading was soggy and unappealing. I called over the wait staff that assisted us and informed her that it was very tacky and wrong the way they prepared and presented the food. She just agreed. I informed her that I could cause a scene if I chose to, but that I would not but instead give them the deserving time wasting review that I am submitting now. I woke up the day after with food poisoning, as well as my disabled grandson whom I brought home a takeout to. By orders of my medical staff, I was told to stay hydrated and rest as I await the visit to see a physician virtually by choice for...
Read moreBeen in the Waxahachie TX area for about 3 weeks. We've tried other restaurants in the area (a different restaurant each night for 4 people). The Cotton Patch at Waxahachie TX, Sunday night 7/13/25, is by far our best experience with drinks, food, service, and hospitality thus far. A few other restaurants (I won't say the names), their menu is over priced for what appears and tastes like microwave food and not Homestyle Comfort or traditional pub foods. Cotton Patch is cozy comfortable, table seating (like at home, booth optional). Staff is remarkable from the time the hostess seats you through paying the check and leaving. We were fortunate enough to have Kip as our waiter. Fantastic job all around. Our drinks never got below half, appetizers and rolls were hot, fresh, and quick to the table. Waiter and waitress staff unanimously work together to get the dinner food to the table at the same time for no waity. From Chicken Fried Steak, Meatloaf, Grilled Chicken, and a BLT, everything tasted great like a restaurant cooked Homestyle Comfort Food should be. Desert peach cobbler to go put the filling at the belt line. Kip made sure we had all our questions answered, the food we wanted the way we wanted it, and that we knew that we had a server that cared for his clients experience. Hats off for Kip. So if you are ever in Waxahachie TX., be sure to stop by the Cotton Patch for dinner with Kip and the rest of the staff. Forget about the neighboring restaurants, they don't come close to...
Read moreWe were greeted promptly after arriving. Tried to take us to one booth it was dirty. Moved us over to the other side in a booth next to a group of employees taking a presumed break. Associate asked for our drinks and went back to seating other consumers. Takes awhile but the same young lady comes back and nicely takes our order. We get our appetizer and it looks like it has been sitting for a few the cheese is no longer bubbly but hard and like warm at best. It was cheese fries but also had chunks of tortilla chips and bits of fish batter in it toour surprise. At this point the four waiters relaxing at the table is now six. While the one young lady is bustling around helping at least four table's and cleaning up after patrons who have left as well as watching and seating new customers. Much of our lunch conversation was masked by the break crew chatting about management and why they are just so over staffed. Prior to leaving we counted approx 7 servers and only one working hard with two others occasionally pitching in. They were not busy by any means. If the office space table had decided to move at all your customers would have each had their own attentive associate and that poor girl who dis everything might be able to just focus on one thing. #cottonpatch #fail. Fyi after we ate and paid the break table was still enjoying a nice relaxing gossip filled booth. No manager was...
