I strongly advise someone from corporate to visit this location and by the looks of other reviews, I’m not the only person who thinks so. First and foremost, from a professional standpoint- I was not aware that a fast food place was able to create their own hours of operation, yet somehow this location has been getting away with it for these past two years. They sometimes either close 30 mins to an hour before 10pm, or sometimes there’s just a piece of paper stuck to their voice-box stating “no one is here, go home.” On a personal standpoint- Popeye’s used to be my favorite place (because other locations have good food and decent service most of the time). However, the Waxahachie location has put their name to shame and I can no longer give them my service. The employees (though this is not every single one, as I have come in contact with some polite people) 9 times out of 10 do NOT seem to care about their jobs at all, and it shows through the lack of quality in the food and customer service. I completely understand how difficult it is to find “good” employees who want to work during the times we’re in- but I refuse to accept that as an excuse for this location, especially considering the fact that there are other fast food places and different Popeye’s locations that have exemplified good service. The Waxahachie Popeye’s establishment has been receiving poor reviews for a few years now- doesn’t anyone with power see a pattern which needs to be corrected? Or worse, does anyone from Corporate even care? I have been to this establishment more times than I can count so far in 2022, and for about two months straight I was a loyal customer (3-4 nights/week) waiting through the painful 30 minute drive thru line each time. With each visit, I never knew if the food would be good, if it would be correct, or if it would be there at all. Regardless of the continuous disappointments, I still gave them my service. For the time of Popeyes’ recent “spicy chicken sandwich” promotion (with Buffalo sauce, not the original spicy mayonnaise sauce) I must’ve ordered the sandwich at least a dozen times in two months, and every single time they gave me the wrong spicy sandwich. I would tell them each time of receiving the wrong sauce; I even, at the window, told the young man the difference between buffalo sauce and spicy mayo sauce, and the kid assured me the buffalo sauce was the “same” as spicy mayo- even though I knew he was wrong. He then got his co-worker to back him up/argue the issue with me. So I drove home with the food they had given me, only to see it was still wrong. Sometimes I’d be missing a side item, the food would be cold and stale, it would almost always be wrong, and the customer service was almost always terrible. They always want to charge .50 cents for sauces, yet they NEVER put any sauces in my bag, not the extra ones I paid for or the sauces which are supposed to come with the meal in the first place. The most disappointing part of every poor experience is, you cannot even call and speak to the manager. You can try to call, but the line ALWAYS rings either until it beeps like it’s busy, or until it just hangs up on you. I don’t recall ever once being able to speak with anyone over the phone at this location. When I attempted to speak to the manager through the drive thru window, not only was she NOT helpful, but she was incredibly rude. So as much as I would like to see a change in the employees’ customer service towards patrons, we cannot really expect much from them when their own manager, their head of staff herself, is not willing to be a good leader or take any sort of responsibility or ownership of anything. I know this location will continue to operate without the business of several Waxahachie residents- so losing one more is no issue at all. But I sincerely hope that maybe one day someone with some “skin in the game” will...
Read moreThis Popeyes is located at 1605 N Hwy 77, Waxahachie, TX.
I usually do not write one Star Experience unless I'm trying to help the location to be better.
First and foremost, this review is not about the employees, the taste of the food, or price.
This review is intended for the owner of this location and the franchise Popeyes.
This location dose not have the walk in open, so stop advertising it's open. You have to wait in the Drive Thru for about 30 mins to 45 mins to get tenders. I saw 5 people walk up to the door and pull on it and walk away because they did not want to wait in line.
I had a trailer and the drive thru is larger enough to pull thru with a trailer but it would have been much easier to go inside and ordered.
Because of the position of the Popeyes drive thru, you have one way in and one way out and it's causing other businesses and traffic from the highway to back up because of Popeyes drive thru. It's a hazard.
Once I got my chicken, I spoke with an employee who was very nice and polite. The employee told me if they opened the front, they did not have enough workers to man both the front counter and drive thru. The employee then said no one will work here.
Well that's all I need to hear. This message, review is to the owner and franchises. Give the employees more money or some reason to work at Popeyes. Stop being greedy and give a helping hand to the employees instead of trying to cut corners.
The food is great, employees are great, and the prices are understood. Raise the prices and get more workers.
I have a show called Drive Across Texas.

The next time your in the Waxahachie area and you get a hunger for chicken, go by and check to see if things have changed at this Popeyes. If not, Raisin Came Chicken is right across the street. Remember Folks that's coming from a...
Read moreI waited Almost 20 minutes in the Drive-thru! NOONE Even came on the mic to say “Thank you for choosing Popeyes, I’ll be with you in just a minute”! As a matter of fact the ONLY thing that suggested that they were even open was the drive thru lights/sign was 0n, and a worker walked out the back door to empty the trash! Its Nice to know that even the Trash gets Better Service/Attention than the drive thru customers do! Sadly tho, this happens ALL THE TIME at Popeyes! I FINALLY Flagged down the worker that came out to empty the trash and I asked him if the drive thru mic was working? He DID NOT Speak English, but he motioned me to drive around!!😡😡 To think, NOONE Even had the Courtesy to put a sign up to let the Customers know that the mic wasn’t even Operational! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! WHOEVER the Manager is Should be FIRED! Everyone Loves Popeyes Chicken, so WHY Are We treated so Poorly at Popeyes?!? IF the Corporate Office is Not willing to do something about this, then Popeyes…EVERYONE ONE OF THEM, should suffer like a lot of Post COVID fast food chains; and Close Down! I can take my money Elsewhere! Update: so I get to the window, and I ask the poor girl working at the drive thru window what’s going on? And she says that their Drive thru headsets weren’t working. I told her that “Common Courtesy” Would be to at least to put a sign up over the drive thru menu board, letting customers know what’s going on, so the customers won’t sit there for 20 minutes like I did! 😡😡 NEVER EVER AGAIN...
