This is the first time ive ever put a bad review anywhere but this place was bad from the get go. We waited 15 minutes , in a non busy empty place , due to only having 2 servers. The first server we got, didnt order our waters, and again waited another 15 minutes. Then we my friend and I ordered the 2 for 25, she had no idea what the items are or ask how we wanted it. We ordered the onions rings as the app, then I got the new busted burger and my friend got her salad. Well they were out on onions rings so we got mozzarella stick. They came out faster then anything, still no waters, and were not even hot, then suddenly the " manger" came out with my burger, and in my face asking if was mine. We said no due to the fact it came out so fast and none of my tables food was out. Not gonna lie, he was creepy and it was so uncomfortable, I wanted to leave then! Who does that? Telling me just eat the burger cuz its just a burger? After a long wait, we got the rest of the food. Our other waitress we got was trying to be nice and gave us some complimentary fries for waiting, which it took her 5 seconds to get and come back. They were horrible, even worse then was on my plate. The burger wasn't good at all. After switching between two waitress, we got our bill and was finally able to leave. An hour later, in the way home, I got massively sick. Ive never felt so horrible. Once I got home it was the worst case of food poisoning because I've been throwing up and shitting since ive been home in pain due to this hamburger. Passing out due to lack of water and food i ended up having a bad seizure due to this. Im just outraged how a chain restaurant like applebee's could serve so horriblely and not think about cooking items appropriately ! So as I sit in an ER room to fill this out i hope it gives u some insight on how to run your place. We always come here on our vists and I will definitely NOT be visting any applebee's for the rest of my life. Don't go here if u want a $50 bill and an ER bill to go with it. I hope the foundation thinks this thru and...
Read moreWe usually visit there after work on Saturdays (between 4 and 430 in the afternoon), and it's more often than not pretty quiet by then. However, as of late, even with a mostly-empty place, we've had half-hour wait times because they simply don't have the staff to cover their sections. Unfortunately as well, most of their staff lately has been absolutely awful. I asked my one server if I could break $100 (on a tab for 4 people), and he said that was fine - but he came back with five $20 bills - no change made. We also had a server dump off six knives on our table - even though there were only four of us eating, and none of us ordered a meal that required knives. We've gotten dirty looks from one server on several occasions because we were "taking up her table" - regardless of the fact that we had all ordered full meals, two drinks each, and desserts.
I do recommend having Shannon make your drinks though - she's wonderful! And the other night, our server Bonnie was fantastic. She got our drinks promptly, checked back in at the proper times, and made sure we were taken care of after the meal and payment. I really hope this establishment picks back up, because it's a convenient location with tasty drinks...
Read moreI finally got to go to Applebee's for the first time while I was in Sioux Falls this weekend visiting my mom while she's in the hospital. My sister and I were so excited to go and have a yummy steak together before we took the drive back home to Iowa. She ordered the 8oz sirloin, and I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, as that's my favorite cut of steak. I buy my own ribeyes quite often, so am aware of how they should look. I'm not sure why, but what I was brought was a '12oz. Ribeye', and was told by the waitress and the manager that 'this is what a 12 oz. Ribeye looks like.' The steak i received was maybe a quarter inch at its thickest. They tried to remedy the situation by giving me a sirloin if 'i was concerned with the thickness of the steak.' Which i wasn't. I was concerned with why my steak did not match what showed on the menu, did not match my knowledge of what a 12oz ribeye SHOULD look like, and the knowledge of my sister who cooks steaks on a daily basis, as she's the head cook at a restaurant in our area. I've attached pictures of what their menu showed, and what I received. Mind you, i paid $25 for nothing more than an 8oz sandwich ribeye and was told it was a regular 12oz....
