A little prelim here, and if you want to skip right to the experience, move to paragraph 5 now. Otherwise, read on. This is a franchise sandwich shop that you’ll find in about 1/2 the States (currently, I think they are in 26 States). They are in all 4 corners and in the middle, so it’s not really a regional franchise.

On to the experience. We found this place by word of mouth, by simply looking for something to do for a Canadian Thanksgiving, which is held in October. Many places in the U.S. are not preparing T-Day meals by October, so options are limited. Someone told us about “The Bobbie”. They boast that The Bobbie was…

[Voted "The Greatest Sandwich in America" for a reason. If you haven't tried a Bobbie® yet, get ready for slow-roasted turkey topped with cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing and mayo. It's a sandwich you'll be thankful for.]

Sounded good to us, and we had several people tell us it was good. So… onward to our trip to make this place the daily destination.

Place was pretty clean on entry. Wasn’t a whole lot different than what’s you’d expect from a fast food sandwich shop. Nothing standing out as exceptional, but nothing felt bad either. Over all pleasant atmosphere. Ordered our sandwiches and a couple soups to try as well. Tomato Bisque and Chicken Noodle. Both soups were decent, and what you’d expect from a place like this. Didn’t blow us away, but didn’t expect them to either. They were good, but not sure we’d order them again, unless really in the mood for soup. This is nothing against them, it’s just often we don’t order extras, and did it much in part for the review. The sandwiches were quite good. Something we would happily order again. We do not live near a franchise location, so it will be a tough call between trying new options, and getting “The Bobbie”, which is what we came for. I would certainly give this sandwich a try and see what you think. It’s also offered in a “hot”...

Capriotti’s is probably my favorite sandwich shop in town followed closely by Firehouse. They’ve got some of the best and most unique sandwiches including “The Bobbie” which is essentially a leftover thanksgiving dinner sandwich that encompasses all of your holiday favorites; slow-roasted turkey topped with cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing, and mayo. “It's a sandwich you'll be thankful for” as they say. Sounds a bit weird I know but it’s good. TRY IT!!!

While the Bobbie is among the most creative sandwiches I’ve ever seen anywhere, it’s not my personal favorite. My favorite sandwich here is the Chicken Chipotle Crunch. The shop on Marion Road always has a selection of Melinda’s hot sauces to top off your sandwich. I say that because this location is the one I frequent, I recently went to another location and I did not see any hot sauces anywhere. If you do NOT like heat, the cayenne-habanero (sounds hot but it’s not) has become one of my favorite flavor hot sauces and would be good on ANY sandwich. I actually tried it here for the first time (They did have other Melinda’s sauces, I did not see this one out on my last visit though). If you want to kick it up a notch, the Melinda’s Ghost Pepper sauce has some serious heat, I did see that one during this visit.

Good food, good service. These sandwiches are definitely on the expensive side. On this day, for my sandwich, chips and a drink it was about $20 for just me. The location? It’s a little weird to get to as you have to pull in from the back, there is no access to Marion road directly but just a minor inconvenience and definitely...

Capriotti's has undeniably secured its place as a 5-star dining gem in my culinary journey. From the moment I walked in, the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and the friendly greeting from the staff set the stage for a remarkable experience.

The star of the show at Capriotti's is undoubtedly their sandwiches. Each creation is a masterpiece, showcasing the perfect marriage of premium, high-quality ingredients. The Bobbie, with its Thanksgiving-inspired combination of turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing, is a perennial favorite that never fails to impress. The bread, soft and fresh, acts as the ideal vessel for these flavor-packed delights.

What truly sets Capriotti's apart is the commitment to excellence in every aspect of the dining experience. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, offering recommendations and accommodating customization requests with a genuine smile. The attention to detail in sandwich preparation reflects a dedication to providing not just a meal but a culinary adventure.

The ambiance is cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere that invites patrons to savor each bite. The cleanliness and organization of the space further contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable dining environment.

In conclusion, Capriotti's has earned its 5-star status by consistently delivering on taste, quality, and exceptional service. It's more than a sandwich shop; it's a destination for culinary enthusiasts seeking an extraordinary blend of flavors. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Capriotti's is a culinary haven that never...

This visit was my maiden trip to Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. I chose the Capastrami meal. The Capastrami consists of pastrami and Swiss cheese topped with cole slaw and Russian dressing. The star of this sandwich for me was the creamy, slightly tangy, crunchy cole slaw. The roll that harbors the sandwich was soft and chewy and held together nicely. The overall flavor of the sandwich was pleasant. My knocks on this sandwich: 1) The distribution of pastrami was not even from end to end and 2) The price. Eighteen dollars for a large puts this sandwich at the upper echelon of what I think the market in Sioux Falls will tolerate.
