Well, years ago I followed my husband away from this place for the lack of service and thought that he was overreacting. Now, after thinking this place might have improved... I agree with him. My experience, today, started off well. But then, I started to notice certain things with the service. Our server, Gianna, came to our table and started serving us in a timely fashion. All seemed well, but, then I noticed that everytime she serviced us, she and a few other servers would sit at a nearby table, make themselves comfortable, faced down into their phones. They were not really paying attention to their customers. Sometimes a party would be in their section, and they wouldn't even notice because they were too busy in their phones and socializing amongst each other. I, even, overheard one server comment to the hostess in a joking manner that she didn't tell her when she got a table until it was late. Note: Your responsibility to pay attention to when you get a table if you want to make money! I felt like she only came to our table to pacify us and then ran back to her phone and social life. My son finished his soda, but she did not ask if he wanted a refill and while we were still picking on our meals, she quickly placed the bill on the table without even asking if we wanted dessert or anything else and walked away.... Not even a "Thank You for Coming"! I felt like she just wanted us to come and go quickly so she can continue with her laziness. I, also, witnessed another customer complaining about his food being cold. She went to the kitchen to let them know but with an attitude. Note: It shouldn't be the kitchen's fault if you're into your phone and not checking for when the customer's food is ready to be served. I tipped her for her service anyway but after leaving, I regretted the decent tip that I gave her. I did not feel welcome! Good thing there won't be...
Read moreI've been going to this Hooters consistently, after the Paramus location closed. This location is now my favorite. I've had several different servers and bartenders, and I can say that the service is consistently great. The servers are friendly, polite, and attentive. I'm handicapped and overweight, and they are always kind enough to try and get me a low table to accommodate my needs, its much appreciated. The food decently priced, and is always fresh and good. The drinks are very reasonably priced, especially during happy hour! Whoever says this place is too expensive is clearly a cheap skate. 20 dollars for a few drinks and a meal is too expensive? Get a life, and get a job. There's no other restaurant where you get to see gorgeous waitresses walking around and reasonably priced food. We need to cherish a restaurant like this and enjoy it while we still can, almost all Tilted Kilt locations have closed and many Hooters locations have closed. I would bet all the money I have that the negative reviews on here are from either jealous women who caught their husbands staring at the beautiful young girls in here, or from disgruntled, butt hurt men who tried to hit on the waitresses and got turned down. I'm a very unattractive, older man and I get treated very nicely by everyone here, so don't think I'm some good looking, buff stud that's biased because I get special treatment from the girls. The bartenders and waitresses are here to do a job, and they do it very well, but not to be your date. If you want a date try a dating app, but dont take your frustrations out by writing nasty, dishonest reviews. I suggest that people ignore negative reviews and give this place a try and see...
Read moreStopped in for lunch after being in the mood for wings. Let me start by saying that having been to Hooters across the US, I've noticed a difference in attitudes by the employees depending on what part of the country I'm at. Off to a good start when I was greeted coming into the restaurant. Haven't experienced that in other NY/NJ Hooters restaurants, only the ones down South and out West. The gal that seated me was my server as well. There were only 2 servers working since it was slow. (Typical for a weekday afternoon?!) Ordered wings, fries, and a beer...my goto stuff for this place. 1 problem I had was they advertised a Winter Ale, but it wasn't available till Dec?! Why advertise it now then? My food was brought to me by the other server, who smiled and seemed more pleasant than mine. My server did return 2 more times to ask if "everything was ok" and also gave me another beer after I asked for it. The food was good...the the type of quality food you'd expect from Hooters. I was disappointed in the lack of interaction and and upbeat vibe. I suppose being a weekday afternoon in a non descript location in NJ explains this. Overall nothing negative to say about my experience. Just the same experience as with other Hooters in...
