What a wonderful addition to the Weaverville community! It's rare (and very welcomed) that an establishment pops up (thankfully this close to my house) that earns, from me, the designation of: "the total package".
They serve amazing coffee (try it iced), smoothies, lattes, chai, hot chocolate, other specialty drinks, and even nitro cold brew on draft - which beats the nitro cold brew that you're used to. Speaking of draft: they have a nice variety of local draft beers and even more in bottles. The regular food menu has a little something for everyone - and not only do they have an option that "fits" almost any person who walks in the door, they also craft each of them (that I've tried or seen) extremely well. From the "Italian Job" sandwich to the massaged Kale salad, to the tasteful soup of the day, to anything and everything in-between that I must try in the near future - I'm confident in recommending this place to any and all of my friends.
Brunch on the weekend (their first weekend) has been amazing. I enjoyed the stuffed french toast so much on Saturday that I had to go back Sunday and try the eggs benedict. In addition to the few bites I've had to steal of the Big A breakfast sandwich - all of these have exceeded my expectations and are of top recommendation for weekend fare for those that want to step (or stay) away from downtown Asheville.
On top of all of this, the owners and every employee I've encountered, truly go out of their way to provide an experience that keeps you coming back. Actually, the only hesitation I had in writing this review was that too many people would find out about this place and they'd no longer be able to remember all of their customers by name - but considering all of the above: 1. There's no keeping this place secret and 2. I'm not worried because they are...
Read moreThis was my first time at Yellow Mug; Co-workers and I were looking for a space to meet to work on notes.
I arrived early and treated myself to a breakfast burrito (which comes with salad). Even though the cafe was near capacity (a testament to its glory, I'm sure), the staff were quick and efficient, working through the short line with alacrity. The lounge was well staff with individuals, enjoying each others company and keeping an eye out for how they can serve their customers. The music was pleasant, yet not overbearing, and the atmosphere cheery and productive feeling.
My breakfast burrito came out and it was HUGE! It was a little drippy, but that is because everything was fresh and the eggs were properly cooked. It was delicious, and the salad, though simple, was made with high quality ingredients and was an excellent addition to the plate.
If you are looking for a place with an absolute plethora of coffee, smoothies, and other drink options, as well as a delicious and hearty breakfast that wasn't something just sitting in a display case (though they do have some tasty looking pastries as well), definitely check...
Read moreThis place is happenin’! (It’s in the building with Remax signs!) We got there at around 10am on a Saturday and it was packed! The people know where to get the goodness.
I got the sausage breakfast bagel on the everything bagel- one of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few!) the cheese, the sausage, the egg. Mmm! I also got the strawberry French toast- it was fine but I probably wouldn’t get it again, I’d just get the regular French toast perhaps. My latte was quite good, as was my wife’s lavender latte! We also got a cinnamon muffin thing- it was very good, though it had a strange texture and stuck to the roof of your mouth- once you get past the unusual texture (because it’s vegan and gluten free) it’s ones I’d the best cinnamon muffins we’ve had as well.
I would certainly return to try more items! Also I need to find out how you get a salad with your sandwich- I think you get it if you eat in, but not if you take it to go.
Give this...
