We visited this Floyd’s location after multiple visits to the SugarLand location and enjoying the service, atmosphere and food. However this location is nothing I repeat NOTHING like the sugarland location. We were visiting the area and this place was a familiar franchise . The service we received here was disgusting. We called as we were on the way to the establishment and was told that there would be a 15 to 20 minute wait however once we arrived at the establishment, there was actually a 40 minute wait however we stayed And waited once we were seated, we were seated in the back of the establishment underneath the air conditioner unit that had condensation leaking from it. condensation leaked from the unit onto the table onto my son’s hair, and pants as well as the other end leaked on my cousin. we informed the waiter where he told us. Oh, that is normal. They’ll get the guy to come clean it. This guy comes to the table with a broom wrapped in clothTo wipe the Condensation, I informed the waiter who had a very nasty attitude about the situation, making it seem as though we should except that the ac units condensation is leaking over us. Once again we attempted to stay at the table. Once the guy wiped it. It again begins to leak this time leaking on the table on my family members. There was a total of two adults And six children( two teenage children three toddlers one child the youngest toddler being one). Again, I informed the writer as now I am beginning to get frustrated that the AC unit is now leaking everywhere He then replies “there is nothing that I can do about that.I got the guy to wipe it it’s not a big deal” We informed him that he needs to get the manager. All this occurred while our drinks came out and the waiter did not supply everybody’s drink He forgot my cousins drink did not give the kids straws for their drinks, and our appetizer came to the table. We had to continue moving the appetizer because the condensation was leaking onto the table. The manager comes out minutes later and tells us he is sorry for the inconvenience however, we informed him that if they were not able to accommodate us, why have us wait 40 minutes to sit in the back where the under the ac units that is having an issue? He informed us that he would try to move us and that he was sorry he then moves us to a smaller table which we did not mind because again it was only two adults six children (two teenagers three toddlers one child the youngest toddler being one). After we were seated under the AC unit that had continued to leak we saw them two large groups of people with multiple adults at their party be seat at tables in a different area the did not have ac trouble and we were there before them. I felt as though why did we not get those seats? Then once we were complete with our meals they had the nerve to charge us a Large Party fee of 18% dollars which was almost 20bucks . Something I have never been charged at the other location

Read moreI was very excited about trying a new place with my family, the reviews were good so I thought we were going to have a great experience. We waited 30 minutes to be seated which I can understand because the restaurant is small. They had a convenient text option to let you know when your table was ready.
We were seated and ordered our drinks, boudain balls, 12dz boiled shrimp (which tasted great), a bowl of gumbo that we had to send back because it tasted like burnt dirty water, and 5lbs of crawfish with 2 extra corn and 2 extra potatoes and an order of sausage. Our order came out without the extra potatoes and corn and the order of sausage was only half a link which they charged $3 for. So we ordered two more orders just so we would have enough for everyone. I asked for a bowl of mayonnaise and was told that it was $1, I’m thinking “ok fine it must be a good amount if they’re charging a $1 for it”, they brought me a small bowl with about 2 packets of mayo squeezed in it. We asked for gloves for the kids which they also charged us for.
At this time my youngest son is just sitting there waiting bc his chickenstrips have not come out yet. We are already disappointed with the small crawfish and the seasoning, the potatoes and corn are boiled seperately with no seasoning so when you get them they are bland. I asked the waitress about my sons food and she says “I’ll go check on it” and runs to the computer to put the order in. I see this and decide at this point that we will just ask for the ticket and go somewhere else to finish eating. I walk up to tell her to forget the chicken strip order and she claims it’s already coming out. Well it wasn’t, we waited another 10 minutes for the order. My baby finally got his food after everyone else had finished eating.
We asked for the ticket and had to ask the waitress to take off the extra corn and potatoes as we never actually got them. Our total came out to $98 which wouldn’t have been so bad had the experience been better. As a place that seems pretty popular and charges their kind of prices i think it’s just ridiculous and greedy on the establishments part to charge for things like condiments and gloves.

Read moreUpdate: My husband and I went to Floyd’s last night (Saturday). We got there at 9:10 pm and they close at 10:00. We knew there was enough time to dine and not keep anyone staying after hours. As everyone knows, if the restaurant closes at 10:00, a party can arrive before the closing time and get seated. (We would never do that, I’m simply making a point.) Our fav server, Paisley, was off so we got a random server. We ordered an appetizer and told our server we’d like to wait until we were served our appetizer to order our entrees. She couldn’t stand it and came to get our entree orders BEFORE we had received our onion rings (that are delicious, btw). She was pleasant enough; however, then she came up to our table at about 9:30 and told us it was “last call.” We ordered water and tea, nothing alcoholic. Apparently, she was “done” for the day as we never saw her after her last call statement until it was time to get our check (and her tip). Isn’t it curious that some servers get extra attentive at tip time? In fact, my husband had to get up and refill my tea for me. We ended up taking home three stuffed containers with our meal. She left us feeling very rushed. Then, we basically got the “bum rush” to get out of there. She was definitely the only server there that has been less than adequate in all our years of dining at Floyd’s. We have been stewing about this since last night. In the future, we will plan to go only when Paisley is available. If Paisley is unavailable, we will request to NOT be seated in this server’s section. We are generous tippers and still gave her 20%. I blame myself. We typically tip in the 25% range. Grrrrr. I will be calling the manager in the morning
Delicious. Great and courteous waitstaff. Recommend the fried shrimp & Courtbouillion. You’ve got to get their onion rings or fried mushrooms as...
