Let me start off by saying that my husband and I have both been in the service industry and are very understanding when it comes to being short staffed or when drinks take a little longer etc. We have been here several times, and have never ever had good service. We decided since we just finished with a movie (and there are new owners) that we would stop in. Well it was 30 minutes we will never get back. We sat down at the bar top (since that’s where you typically get better service) and were passed by two different girls without being acknowledged and we sat there for around 6-7 minutes until the male bartender said he’d be right with us. Ok cool, maybe that was just a fluke. We ordered two of their featured holiday drinks-1 of which they were out of an ingredient so we changed that order and the second-when received was plain and without the garnishes that are pictured. Not a huge deal, but for $12, give me the cute garnishes. We sat there without another word spoken to us for 10 minutes AFTER we finished our drinks. While we were sitting there all I hear is the bartender complaining and cussing about other people leaving him with nothing and that he’s going to make the people at the tables wait so he can make the bar top drinks. He then asks us if we want something else and we were going to (15 minutes ago) but changed our mind and decided to close out. We will never go back. Key things to note- -They were mainly talking to and spending time with regulars or people who work there on their day off drinking. -The vibe is a trashy dive bar in disguise as a “cocktail bar”. Drive a little further and go...
Read moreThe atmosphere and crowd was nice, not too loud, and felt comfortable. However first walking in with no room at the bar and no clear signs of staff, we stood around awkwardly waiting for someone to notice us. Once we sat down and ordered it took about 10mins to get drinks (15mins for the 'PillowTalk' I ordered). It was not crowded at all, 10-15 people max. Drinks that were on the menu were okay, it seems they put most of the effort into the appearances. The drinks are also very small.
Ordering our 2nd round was when things went wrong, even with 2 different bartenders taking our orders.... a simple Long Island & GreyGoose -Cranberry took over 15mins. We debated leaving. Then came out a vodka club for me, which I didnt order. Definitely wasted our "buzz". I had to walk to the bar and correct it. The guys were nice and very apologetic but who likes going for drinks and having to wait and orders messing up, especially with expensive drinks.
They need a hostess/ cocktail waitresses with a better system of running out orders and seating guests. If that changes, I'm sure we might...might try it again.
3 stars for the nice staff and the decor, nice to not see dart games, dollar punching bag machines and the crowd that...
Read moreMade 2 trips in the same night because it had good reviews. 1st time arrived at 10:40 pm. The menu stated the kitchen served until 11pm. Just wanted some appetizers but it took about 5 minutes before the bartender acknowledged we were there and then said the kitchen was already closed. There were only about 20 people in the bar at the time and only about 8 of them were at the bar so it shouldn't take 5 minutes to say, "I'll be rigjt with you guys." Left to go eat somewhere else and came back for the 2nd time tonight. This time a few more people inside maybe 25-30. But only about 8 people at the bar. Once again it took awhile for anyone to realize we were even there. So we watched the 4 bartenders behind the bar while we waited and thwy looked utterly confused on what they were making. Every drink seemed to have more ingredients than the bartender could remember so they just looked lost while making drinks. One of them kept sniffing the shakers because he didn't know what was in them. We watched one of them spend about 3 minutes trying to light some ingredients on a wood plank. Finally after 15 minutes we left and I don't think the bartenders noticed nor did they get out a drink while we were...
