Me and my Dad who is visiting from Austin went for dinner on a Friday night and then later for Sunday buffet (we liked our dinner to say the least), and I think we agreed this is hands down the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to.
I grew up in Austin, went to college in Dallas, and now work in Clear Lake, and I have tried several dozen Indian restaurants across Texas over that period, and this is the best of the bunch overall.
Its affordable and your money goes a long way with the sizeable entree portion sizes (and they don't skimp on the Naan, which I appreciate. You only need to order one Naan here per person or two).
The staff is very attentive and friendly and efficient... they are clearly running a very tight ship with good wait staff and hosts...the restaurant as a whole is operationally very strong. I suspect there is quite a lot of experience here making everything run so smoothly.
The quality of the food is very high, and especially I'd like to give a shout out for the lunch buffet...its not unusual and often even forgiveable for the quality to be lower for a buffet...but that was NOT the case here. We'd just had a la carte two days earlier and had some of the same dishes at the buffet...and we couldn't tell a difference in quality. That's unusual and I think the way they have proper metal buffet 'hood' coverings and are refilling with freshly cooked food very promptly goes a long way in achieving that consistent result.
The restaurant is clean, spacious, well designed, and seems popular (but also not out of step with the size...we didn't have to deal with a huge wait). It is sleek and modern but also has some nice decoration and good ambient music playing at an appropriate volume. It is very classy overall. I wouldn't feel at all uncomfortable making this a date night spot or place to take coworkers when they are visiting...
Read moreI have been eating from here for years. When it was known only as Cuisine of India. Loved the food but customer service has gone downhill ever since I had to go gluten free, for myself and my daughter.
Today, on Mother's Day, all I wanted was my usual; however it seems the menu items have been edited and no longer displaying gluten free labels for items which generally are gluten free. I left my order with my mom to order for me while I was away at work. They were ordering for themselves too but got confused when they noticed the inconsistent labeling on the menu and called to ask about it. Spoke to someone who did not know what he was talking about. In his defense, when I later called and spoke to him, he did apologize for not understanding correctly that all the vegetarian items are gluten free and was very nice. Yes, I was still frustrated because the rest of my day which I had intended for resting and relaxing was now inconvenienced because I had to drive out of my way to get the food I specifically wanted for Mother's day.
When I went in to pick up the food, Raul asked me how I was. I was honest and shared with him my frustration how when we call restaurants, not just NoonMirch, but this happens often, that the workers are not knowledgeable about gluten free as they should be since they are working for a restaurant. Raul said absolutely nothing to me, did not acknowledge my words and avoided eye contact and THIS IS THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW SOLELY!
You may have delicious food but you really need to do better with hiring people with better social skills & please make sure your workers know what the are talking about. Because of him, my entire day and plans for the afternoon were inconvenienced!

Read moreIt was a Wednesday night when I visited this place. We were greeted and then taken to our table. While I was at the table I was admiring the design of the restaurant. Restaurant was very appealing, the decor, ambience and music made it very welcoming.
Waiters were very nice and polite they keep checking on us and made sure our everything was fine.
From menu we started with appetizers. Chicken samosa and grilled Nepalese chicken. Chicken samosas were served with green chutney and tamarind chutney. Samosas were fresh, crispy, flavorful and very tasty. On the other hand grilled chicken was served with jalapeños and fried onion. It was spicy and very delicious. So much flavor was infused in that chicken I loved it.
For entrée I ordered mix plate grill and my wife ordered single plate sampler. First I will tell you about mix plate grill. It includes naan, seekh kabab, two pieces of shrimps, lamb kabab, malai boti, chicken Tikka and grilled Brussel sprouts with green peas. Everything in that plate tasted amazing. Loved it!
Second will be sampler plate. It includes malai boti, seekh kabab, saag paneer(mustard leaves and cheese) , Tikka masala, rice, lamb samosa and sweet ( can't recall the name of it). Everything in that platter tasted delicious but Tikka masala was the best.
We were so full from appetizers that we couldn't finish the food. Still I wanted to try their dessert kheer. I liked it but didn't not love it, also I am not a big fan of sweets.
So overall experience was great. Food was amazing. Waiters were awesome. I would definitely recommend this place and will go...
