I normally love chipotle and I understand I went on the first day it opened so I knew what I was getting myself into. I even thought ordering online would have saved time I was wrong.
I placed a online order at 8:20pm went through the drive thru with everyone else finally when I got to the window I could tell the worker at the window wasn’t in a good mood that she was irritated by what was going on.
I gave her my information she said they were backed up on orders from 6:30pm and mine wasn’t ready okay no problem.
I asked what should I do in the mean time? Should I come back in a few she replied you can come back in a hour and see if it’s ready then.
I asked if the app had anything to notify the customer instead of me having to drive back and it not be done again she replied no.
I then asked could I be compensated with a few free meals coupons she looked at me and said why would I comp anything?
I worked customer service/ restaurant services like everyone did growing up and I couldn’t believe how rude these people were.
She said after the fact I could get a free bag of chips to be honest for how long I waited for my food a free bag isn’t good enough.
Mind you I didn’t get my food until 10:30pm a far cry from 8:20pm..
I understand it was the first day and I am sure they will get it together but don’t hire anyone that doesn’t wanna work customer service and can’t handle the first day of a stress test.
Also as a manager if your coworkers are cleaning their station when you have 15 in line and you are backed up on online orders it’s up to you to stop the online orders and tell your employees to stop what they are doing and help get things caught up.
I don’t run a chipotle and thank god I don’t run a food service company but I have worked in many and can see how things could improve very easily.
I hope this improves being it’s a great opportunity for everyone to have in our small town of Weirton I hope...
Read moreI’m a broke college student… food is a delicacy. I value what I eat and what goes into my body. Every time I get this specific chipotle it’s just nasty. I go home for break and get delicious chipotle. I come back and order this travesty and it’s awful. I ask myself why I hit the order button every time, I think it’s because I’m optimistic and think it’ll be better… it’s not. At this point I’d rather starve. Tonight was my final straw. I come back from thanksgiving break, starving to say the least. I think to myself maybe I’ll give it one more shot. Stupid stupid thought. I get my bowl and the rice is crunchy. I have a VERY simple order. White rice, black bean, steak, and cheese. Nothing in that is CRUNCHY. The rice is the easiest thing to make, tell me why it’s the most undercooked? Now I know you’re thinking to yourself “at least it’s not the steak”, well every time I go to this God forsaken chipotle it’s either under or over cooked. Also, the service there sucks. I’ve worked in the service industry. Life sucks but I’ve faked a smile, I’ve acted like a cared. Tell me why every time I go I feel like I’m bothering them. I get having a bad day, but my goodness is every day for Weirton chipotle? Anyway, my friend got a burrito tonight online… chipotle said SIKE bc she got delivered bowl. The sticker that prints out the order literally said BURRITO. Tell me why she got a bowl? I’ve given them plenty of chances. I’m a merciful person… however crunchy rice was the final straw. Save yourself…...
Read moreWent here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I love Chipotle and I've been holding off based on other reviews and wanted to give the store more than enough time to work out the kinks. We'll if they aren't worked out now they aren't going to be. We didn't go during a busy time (although things weren't moving very fast and the line was wrapped to the door by the time we were done) but they had nothing. Not a single kind of beans, hardly any rice made, no fajita veggies and several meat options weren't available. Asked for corn salsa and was given maybe 7 kernels on my bowl. Considering their prices are more than Robinson, Pittsburgh and St. Clairsville, you should have the whole selection. I'm paying more for less. We asked for chips and it was apparently an inconvenience to turn around and grab them and we weren't even offered a salsa or queso for them so I had to ask that and get it added on separately. I had a gift card that only had a few bucks left on it and I wanted to finish it off and the girl again was irritated because I didn't know the exact amount and wouldn't let me use it. It wasn't a good experience and I'll continue to drive to St. C when I want Chiptole because they are ALWAYS on point. It was a very disappointing experience especially when you only eat out maybe once a month. Rumors of a store is coming to Steubenville. Hopefully they don't send them here...
