Taco Loco — Restaurant in Wenatchee

This has been one of my favorite restaurants since I moved to Wenatchee in 1997. I regret that I don’t go there more often. There was a time when I went there at least once a week.

One thing I’ve noticed about them is that even after the change of ownership, The quality of the food and service did not decline. They are good as ever.

What inspired me to write this review is today I ran in there for a quick snack, and thankfully I had mentioned to the server that my daughter and I were catching the bus. I left a very important bag on the seat in the restaurant and the waitress actually ran across the street and found us at the bus station while we were waiting for the bus and give me my bag back. Most waitstaff would wait for you to return to the restaurant for you to get your things back. This was absolutely above and beyond. I wished that I had some cash to give her a reward. If I was starting a business of my own, this is the girl...

This is good, authentic Mexican food - probably some of the best in the valley. I've eaten at Taco Loco probably 50+ times and never had a bad experience.

To the user who was sick after s/he ate there, it's not fair to blame the restaurant in a public review if you aren't sure that the same experience happened to others at the same time & place. Any number of other things could have been the cause of your illness.

My ONLY complaint, and it's pretty minor, is that they only take cash or checks - no debit, no credit. So remember that before you go - although another one of their pluses is that I ate there with a friend once and had forgotten about the cash only rule. They told me "oh don't worry about it, just bring the money in the next time you come by"... Of course I went straight to the bank and got the money for them anyway, but it was nice of them to have been willing to...

we were new to town and asked friends for places to eat and Taco Loco was mentioned the most. There are many Mexican resturants in this area and some are very $$$$$ but we wanted a casual dining experience. This place isnt very big and there was standing room only most the time so get there right at 5 or a bit before. We got the last table and all during dinner people were coming in and waiting or picking up to go orders. The waiter was great and lots of fun and the chips and salsa were yummy. Refills right away! I cant even remember the name of what i got but hubby got the grilled Talapia (head on!) Order the orange juice... its fresh squeezed right there at the counter. How can they afford to serve that so fresh? Dunno.. but they do and lots were ordering it. cant wait to try the tamales! (...
