Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Weslaco

Just left there. I had been going several times a month and am the general manager of an area hotel. I was last here two days ago, and the experience was okay, though the food had significantly deteriorated since opening about a year ago. Tonight I went in for a meal and they had a DJ playing tejano music. Ok, no big deal, the place was not that busy anyway. I finally saw a hostess who say me at a both, one of many empty one. I was in professional attire, and likely the only one there that was. I was never approached by a waiter, even after flagging one down ten minutes after being ignored. The waiters were just sort of hanging out at their friends tables. Both were hipster-types and i have tipped each week in the past. After 27 minutes, I decided to leave. As i was leaving, I asked another said it a manager of supervisor was present, and she said no. Seeing as how our hotel refers many guests there, we will no longer recommend Applebees. There is a far better Chilis across the street and many other restaurants that are far better. We will no longer distribute their marketing collateral to our guests either. We simply would hate for our guests to be treated so poorly. Like many other Applebee's in the area that opened then soon after closed, this one is plagued by poor management. There are far better options...

Worst restaurant experience I have ever had the displeasure of having! Do not go to this location. I knew we were about to receive terrible service just by the body language of our waitress. I tried to order a Coke and the waitress rudely said "Pepsi or Dr. pepper?" as if she was implying that those were the only choices I could pick from since they did not carry Coke, something she should have said instead. We ordered an appetizer, and then 3 different items from the menu. Upon getting our meals we were given just forks and zero knives to cut our food with. The waitress was not even the person that checked up on us to give us our missing utensils but rather we had to go out of our way to flag down her coworker to go get them for us. Our actual waitress checked up on us just twice; once to give us one refill after we were given our food and then again to pick up the check which we had to go get her coworker to call her again because she had not gone back to give us our total. Despite the terrible service and endless waiting, I still made sure to tip her 20%, but I do not think my family or I would...

I just had a really bad experience picking up a Carside To Go order at this Applebee’s. I was initially going to place the order via phone, but no one answered and I called multiple times. I arrived at the time it said my order would be ready and gave it 10 minutes before I actually got down to check to see if my order was done or not. The girl inside told me she would get my order ready. Well 15 minutes later I got off again and was told by a guy he would take my order out. After waiting over a total of 25 minutes from the time we arrived he finally brought out my order. Unfortunately after getting home my wife noticed some items were missing. I had to drive back and asked to speak with the manager in charge. I spoke to Gloria and she didn’t even say I’m sorry for the inconvenience. It’s like she didn’t even care. Another girl ended up giving me what was missing from our order. My family and I order here quite often and have never had any issues before.
