My family orders food a lot from here. I am here visiting from out of State and decided to stop yesterday 04/17 to stop for some dinner. Got there at 7pm an hour before they closed. It was a little busy and eventually got our food around 7:30. While finishing up our dinner with a couple of other tables outside, we hear from the tall blonde waitress screaming “JUST GO THE FU€k HOME” as she was cleaning up inside. Her comment was directed at the patrons who were outside eating because it was now 8:05pm just 5 minutes past closing time. Several of us heard her screaming at the top of her lungs because we all stopped eating and looked inside and at her. The other employees knew we heard what she said because they all stopped cleaning up and stared at her. She quickly went to the back of the restaurant knowing we heard her.
The food is good and my partner wanted another salad from there for dinner the next night. Based of our experience the night prior, I really didn’t want to go and relented and ordered one of the rice plates. We decided to take it to go, even though it was 2 hrs before closing, because of the experience we had the night before. Well we got back to our hotel and I was left with the protein portion in my to go box and nothing else with it.
I get that these are kids working in this place, but there needs to be better training on how to deal with customers and getting orders right. Highly disappointed with...
Read moreAs a Vegan-diet proponent, I always try to make it known in my reviews that my opinion may be clouded - so read knowing this.
In case it isn’t evident from the restaurant listing, this is a stand-at-the-menu-board-and-choose place rather than a sit-down-and-order place. It’s nothing too fancy - paper / plastic utensils and plates/bowls - but you usually wouldn’t expect it to be at this kind of place.
My non-vegan little guy got a kid’s gyro - which was not a gyro, until we had it sent back into the kitchen. I suppose they leave the veggies off for kids usually as they figure (perhaps rightfully so) that kids just strip out all the vegetables and eat the pita and meat alone. Not the best choice in my opinion, but the point is that the kid’s “gyro” looked way different from the normal sized Gyro that someone else in our party ordered.
I hadn’t realized that my order was served with tzitziki (spelling?) sauce on top, which happens to contain yogurt, which conflicts with my dietary values. They cheerily took it back to the kitchen and brought me back a place without the problematic sauce, no worries and no extra charge.
The kitchen was very full on the day we were there at least, which led to verrry fast and studious service - I’ve only been once so I can’t speak for other times, but if they always stay as well staffed service must consistently be...
Read moreI will start off by stating I reached out in good faith for my concern to be handled with care. I’ve talked to Mya (assistant manager) Scott ( general manager) received ONE call from Con (owner). When I did not receive my meal for delivery I talked to Scott whom informed me to come in a receive my new meal. I was grateful until my encounter with Mya - not only was she rude but she lied and said that I walked in and stood to the side with an attitude and until “being noticed” I then said what I was there for WHICH WAS A LIE! I got this information from Scott because when trying to tell him how I was being treated he said SHE told him I had an attitude and he protected the fact that she was rude to me. ( I did record everything to prove my truth btw) after almost two weeks the owner has called ONCE and has made no attempt to investigate this on my behalf after being bullied at his establishment. I will no longer handle my business with any Hungry Greek as this is what they stand for. I will be sending all information to VP of franchise operations and the CEO and let them hear the conversations and decide how to move forward with it’s...
