I don't know who to feel worse for at this location, the employees, or me for not getting food.
At first the doors seemed locked as another gentleman tried the handle of the right side double door, but after trying the left, it opened easily to go into the lobby to get a meal.
We waited. And waited. And waited some more. I'm pretty sure someone would have acknowledged us had there been anyone to do so. I saw literally one person behind the counter after 10 minutes. One. Preparing the food, taking drive through orders, comforting annoying customers on the intercom (loud enough that I could clearly hear them), and generally regretting living in general. After she got a spare second to assess the situation, her eyes widened with fear and she said "how did you guys get in here, I know I locked the doors, I just did it 20 minutes ago!" We both looked at each other, confused, then at her, with both sympathy and hunger. I think we were both upset, but could tell she was having a really, really bad night. She explained she had no till up front and we needed to go through drive-thru if we wanted food. She didn't apologize, but frankly, I probably wouldn't have either had it been just me to do everything. I give her kudos for not just walking out entirely.
I couldn't bring myself to go through the drive-thru, seeing how rough she had it tonight. I tried my luck elsewhere.
Shame on the dreadful management of this place, leaving your workers in such a shambled state. I get that times are tough, but staffing accordingly is called "the cost of doing business." If you can't afford it, sell your franchise or close your doors. You're doing a disservice to everyone, customers...
Read moreI wish I could give it zero stars. Payed for a meal around 710PM. Says drive thru open until 8. Get to the restaraunt at 727. No answer at the drive thru. Pounded on the door for 6 minutes. Other customers that did the same thing where there too. After 10 minutes of no acknowledgement, finally an older gentlemen finally showed his head. Saying their closed. No answer for my food. No answer about a refund. As I told him: communicate then. Instead of ignoring a lot full of paying customers you turned away cuz you didn’t want to stay open until your posted business hours. BK is going to keep going down the drain by hiring irresponsible people, with no people or professional skills. And they want $15 an hour. Utterly ridiculous and no excuse. I will be back tomorrow morning asking for my refund. Put the last bit of money in my meal now I’m SOL. And the person they hired to represent this business just looked at me in the face and said tough s* pretty much. Do not give BK your business until they learn to hire and manage a more professional and capable staff. There isn’t a BK location in this city that represents their brand positively or professionally. If they don’t refund my money in cash tomorrow, I’ll be reporting them to corporate. Why post business hours if you can’t fulfill them and then can’t man up and speak to people face to face and answer where their hard earned money went. Ignored the phone. And hid in the back as long as they could! Pathetic! This is the best BK can produce for staff. Chick Fil A shows that a fast food restaraunt is capable of efficient and professional service, why can’t the rest of the chains...
Read moreAlright, so Sunday, 6 PM, I decide to treat myself and head over to the Burger King on 108th Street. You know, maybe sit down, enjoy my food like a normal human being. But no, not at this place. The lobby? Locked. Can’t go inside. The door’s just shut, like they’ve decided to hide from the public. Another customer walks up, tries knocking, waving, ignored like they’re some sort of ghost. It’s like, “Sorry, pal, we’re not dealing with people today.”
And this isn’t even the first time. Sometimes you pull up to the drive-thru, place your order, and then what do they do? “Oh, could you come inside to pick it up?” Really? No, no, I’m onto their little game. They’ve got this thing with their drive-thru metrics, right? They don’t want to get tracked for how long they make you wait in line, so they push you into the lobby to make it look like they’re super efficient. But the joke’s on us, because when you go inside, you’re not waiting five minutes, no, you're waiting half an hour. Minimum. You might as well bring a book, maybe plan to age a little while you’re there.
And let’s not forget, the lobby being locked at 6 PM? Are they closing early? Is this a bank now? What’s the logic here? I can’t believe they don’t just leave it open. I mean, if you’re running a fast food place, letting people come in and out should be, I don’t know, step one.
This place is a joke. Honestly, between the locked doors, the drive-thru shuffle, and the endless waiting, I’m starting to think the King himself would be...
