Went around 8:00 on a Saturday night. When we pulled up we were the only car. Ordered fresh fries and the "cook to order" ended up on the fish sandwich not the fries. I used to work at the McDonald's on 84th so I'm pretty familiar with how things operate and I'm also really understanding because I know how things operate. That being said we asked to make sure we weren't going to have to wait forever for fresh fish since that's where she put the cook to order. Instead of fixing it she left it and told us no we wouldn't have to wait long. Guess what? We waited for fries AND fish. Whatever. No big deal I guess. During that wait I took a drink of my Tropic Berry Sprite. Clearly something wrong with the taste so I walked it back to the drive thru window and exchanged it for an orange soda. Took a drink of that...same issue. We FINALLY got our food after close to a 15 minute wait and the fries were NOT fresh. We asked for fresh fries AGAIN and I let the guy know that there was clearly something going on with the sodas because both the Sprite and orange tasted like the syrup was low. I tried my SO's coke and it was tolerable so I asked for a coke when we told him about the fries. The new and actually fresh fries came out in a timely manner but he did not bring my soda with him. At this point my patience is wearing thin as is my boyfriend's and my three And eight year olds. After a little more than 20 minutes and not understanding why I'm waiting so long for a cup of soda, I go to the drive thru window AGAIN and ask what's going on. I get an attitude filled response of "I'm trying to fix the soda machine so you're gonna have to wait". I have a couple issues with that....all that time sodas are being handed out to the now 6-8 cars that are being directed to wait for their food (were they getting messed up drinks too?) and why couldn't someone have let me know so I could decide if it was worth the wait? Also, I'm the one sitting here waiting forever for a bunch of issues so why was the employee the one with an attitude? The younger boy at the window was really nice and seemed to have understood my frustrations but the guy I assume was the manager, and person fixing the soda machine, was not very professional. I ended up just leaving without the soda. We also didn't get a receipt which I know is generally "required" in order to get any issues fixed. The entire experience was absolutely ridiculous and will assure we think twice before...
Read moreHi I was attending this Mcdonald drive thru today when I discovered something that I feel was too good to keep to myself it's bad but I am thankful I know better now moving forward from these sleazy restaurant's.
I am a senior citizen also male black and what I witnessed was a legacy of ignorance being capitalized right before my eyes.
When I pulled up to the windows a female voice stated the price of my order $8.45 this made the second time in less than the minute it took me to get to the windows but no big deal in fact I'm trying to pull up the app so much trying I never looked up at the person at all I just said I'm pulling up the
app, another minute might have went by & this time the windows opened she blew!! Then said $8.45 I blew and said I got it she rushed out the windows and this women came in her place she said what's the matter I said your app but it's almost there well we got a line and I said a line of what and where do you see me in this equation?
Why are you rushing me anyway is it cause I'm black? The rest is history & you can't make this up.
No for one I'm Purto Rican and both my grand babies are black the youngest is more black than me who's also darker than me again you can't make this up!
She went on & that's my daughter who just went in the back &' she too is black I was like I don't think it work that way & I drove off, ( pay attention ) cause allot of people really don't know why they feel it's us who speak up that's the problem.
You have a MOTHER seeing her daughter disrespect a elder for moving like an elderly person, while at the drive thru window and instead of correcting her child she thought she could correct a man she never seen a day in her life about a line she trying to run like a dope spot no doubt it's the culture invading McDonald's & lady if you listening blacks aka colored people
are not defined by our color it's ignorant to think that colorizing people is the same dynamic used in coloring books of course without any historical value you present a sloppy case of my best friend is black syndrome I've ever seen in my life well I know you must feel proud Leading McDonald's related to more on their way yuk I can do better & trust I did I wouldn't let you make me...
Read moreThis is the first and only time I may EVER give a 5 star review for a chain fast food place. I cannot stress enough how much I was expecting 2 star service and the same gut garbo in a bag... And then i decided to go inside.
1st: The smell was not that of your typical McDonald's thick sadness hanging in the air. You know the smell. I was instead greeted by the beautiful smell of beef burgers cooking. 2nd: The outside door handles were NOT sticky. And I was promptly greeted. 3rd: This was not a busy time BUT the drive thru was constant. I saw the orders of others being prepared in real time. I mean they were essentially short order cooking. Grill to bun to bag! 4th: My bun wasn't smashed! The fries were cooked in fresh oil and were crispy on the outside! The chocolate shake was mixed all the way! Everything tasted the way it was supposed to... I was so shocked and amazed that I was tempted to order more just to see if it came out the same again.
Flabbergasted. Yup. The only other times I have had this type of experience was when I knew the workers at the McDonald's in the mall I worked at when I was a teenager. I would ask for it fresh and they took care to make it great. So that means that I only had to wait 30 years to have the same great experience at a McDonald's.
Anytime I am on this side of town, and in the mood for McDonald's, I will go out of my way to go to this location. If nothing else but to see if the experience...
